This article teaches how to force quit an unresponsive program on the Windows operating system. To proceed, you need to use the "Task Manager" function (or Task Manager).
Steps

Step 1. Open the "Task Manager" window
Right-click on an empty field on the taskbar and select the Task Manager or Task Manager option.
You can also press the Control + ⇧ Shift + Esc keys at the same time

Step 2. Click on the Processes tab
It is located in the upper left corner of the "Task Manager" window.

Step 3. Select the unresponsive program from the proposed list
Click on the corresponding name; if you are using the Windows 10 or 8 operating system, you can find it under the heading "Applications".

Step 4. Click on the End Task button
You can find it in the lower right corner of the window; with this step you force the program to stop within a few seconds.
