This article explains how to open the main Skype database from the user account folder using a computer running Windows. Database (DB) files are only supported on Windows.
Steps
Step 1. Open your computer's "Start" menu
The button depicts the Windows icon and is located at the bottom left.
Step 2. Type% AppData% / Skype / main.db in the search box
You can write it with the keyboard, or copy and paste it from the clipboard.
Step 3. Replace with your Skype username
This will look for the "main.db" file in the folder associated with your account.
- If the search fails, try typing C: / Users / AppData / Roaming / Skype / main.db. Be sure to replace with the username associated with your Windows account.
- Alternatively, search for% appdata% / Skype, where you will be able to find and open the user folder.
Step 4. Press Enter on your keyboard
This will open the main Skype database.
