Method 1 of 3: Determine the Club Length
Step 1. Measure your height
Better get someone else to help you get an accurate measurement.
Step 2. Keep your arms straight at your sides and let the person helping you measure from the wrist to the ground
Step 3. Use these measurements to determine the correct angle of the clubs and their length
You can also find graphics at a golf shop or online. This will give you more specific information on angles and requirements based on club lengths.
Standard club lengths are different for men and women. Each club, whether wood or iron, has standard lengths so you will have to adapt to these
Method 2 of 3: Determine Flexibility
Step 1. Mark the distance the ball travels when taking shots
Follow the criteria listed below to determine the flexibility the wood should have.
- Less than 165 meters, use a flexibility lady.
- Between 166 and 183 meters, use senior flexibility.
- Between 183 and 215 meters, use regular flexibility.
- Between 216 and 251 meters, it uses rigid flexibility.
- Over 251 meters, it uses extra stiff flexibility.
Step 2. To determine the adequate flexibility of the iron, use the iron with which you are constantly shooting at a distance of 137 meters
- If the iron is 4 or 5, you will need a ladies flexibility.
- If the iron is 5, you will need senior flexibility.
- If the iron is 6, you will need smooth regular flexibility.
- If the iron is 7, you will need regular flexibility.
- If the iron is 7 or 8, you will need hard flexibility.
- If the iron is 8, you will need stiff flexibility.
- If the iron is 9, you will need extra stiff flexibility.
Method 3 of 3: Choose a Handle
Step 1. Use gloves in a size that fits your hands perfectly
Golf gloves must not crease or crease when worn.
To find suitable size gloves use the pinch test. You should be able to pinch the gloves near your fingertips, but you shouldn't be able to pinch on the palm of your hand
Step 2. Determine the required grip based on the gloves used
The wider the gloves, the wider your grip needs to be. Sockets vary and range from a standard size for women to extra wide for men. An inadequate grip creates excessive friction that could compromise a perfect shot.
- If you wear small gloves, use a standard lady grip.
- If you are wearing medium gloves, use a standard grip.
- If you wear baggy gloves, use a medium grip.
- If you wear extra wide gloves, use a very large grip.
