Maturity exams can be exhausting; so, here is a guide that will tell you how, step by step, to overcome them with flying colors!
Steps
Step 1. Study hard in your senior year of high school
Take notes after each lesson, not during. Pay close attention in class and just write the title of each topic covered. Then, once you get home, expand your notes into a separate notebook. Don't forget to include graphs and tables that will help you with your study.
Step 2. Your notes should be of good quality
If you've already started taking classes, rewrite any notes you have to better organize them, adding more details you recently learned. Remember that the more familiar you are with the topic, the better it will be.
Step 3. Prepare a study plan for the week
Spend some time studying each subject every day. This will help you link the concepts you have previously learned together and memorize and understand them better. Once you have completed your study program for that week, create a new one for the next. Just take one day off a week. Be disciplined and finish all the work you have to do!
Step 4. Try to finish studying the material at least four weeks before the exam
This will give you enough time to review, practice, and seek answers to any additional questions you may have.
Step 5. Try to do as many exercises as you can
Practice is key.
Step 6. Avoid too much stress or getting bored
If you think that the subject you are studying is not interesting, try to make it so, for example by reading the biographies of famous scientists.
Step 7. Create a routine and stick to it strictly, but you shouldn't feel too comfortable doing it
Change it if that happens.
Step 8. Rest
You don't need to spend days studying a topic that you could finish in a few hours. Make sure your mind is always fresh and try to stay fit. Remember that "mens sana in corpore sano": only a healthy mind can help you pass maturity with flying colors.
Step 9. Motivate yourself and be disciplined
Step 10. Don't worry if you feel very nervous
Understand that this is perfectly normal and healthy and is due to the fact that you are worried about your future.
