Most teens don't like cleaning their room. Making the bed, tidying up clothes, and cleaning floors and other surfaces is not exactly fun. Be that as it may, a little time spent straightening things out will give your room a fresher and more comfortable look. Turn on some music to give you a boost, prepare a plan of attack and get to work: you'll be done sooner than you know!
Steps
Step 1. Turn on some music that energizes you and makes you want to dance
Doing so will make you want to get busy right away, believe it or not. Don't play slow, relaxing music, as it will make you feel tired and you will just want to sleep.
Step 2. Open the blinds or curtains and windows, to let in some air and light
This way the bad smells will go away and the light reflected in the room will make it more inviting.
Step 3. Undo the bed sheets and pillow cases and make a pile of them
This way you will have space on the bed that will look cleaner; wash sheets and pillowcases if necessary.
Step 4. If you have objects in your room that belong to others, return them to their own rooms
Their things may be in your way. You don't want to steal things that belong to one of your brothers or sisters, so taking them back to their rooms and just putting them on their beds will be a no-brainer.
Step 5. Take all the garbage and throw it in the bin, making sure to separate it properly
If you find any litter like bottles or pieces of paper, throw it in the bin, making sure you have removed all of it!
Step 6. Remove everything you stored under the bed and put it back in its place
So the books will go to the bookcase, and the sheets of paper will go to the desk.
Step 7. Put all the dirty laundry in the laundry basket
Make sure you put them all there.
Step 8. Clear the floor
Make sure you've removed everything from the floor, check under dressers, closets, under the bed (again), everywhere.
Step 9. If you have dirty dishes, take them away
Dirty dishes can really leave a stale smell in your room, while also attracting ants and cockroaches to your room. Now, who would like this? Certainly not to you, so take them away.
Step 10. Organize your desk
Put the pens and pencils back in the pen holder and put the sheets of paper together in a stack. It's your desk, organize it however you like.
Step 11. Organize the window shelf
You may want to put a plant or a teddy bear in it; as I have already told you, do with it what you want.
Step 12. Organize the closet or drawers
Give it an inviting look.
Step 13. Clean everything that needs it
Like a bookcase, a desk, ANYTHING.
Step 14. Take out the garbage
Step 15. Sweep or vacuum
Sweep if you have parquet or laminate, vacuum if you have carpet.
Step 16. Make your bed
Do it properly so that it looks inviting.
Step 17. Spray some air freshener
Make sure it's a fragrance you like.
Step 18. Relax in your clean room
Advice
- Try to have fun, listen to some music.
- Buy clothes drawers, they are much more comfortable.
- Decorate the walls!
