Washing machines and dryers are often installed at home. Often they can be installed by the landlord, regardless of whether they want to be placed in a turret or sideways.
Steps
Step 1. Push the dryer against the wall where you want to install it
Leave 60cm of space between the wall and the dryer so you can have a good look at the vent tube.
Step 2. Put one end of the vent hose into the vent hole behind the dryer
Step 3. Slide the clip onto the tube until it snaps into place
Step 4. Place the other end of the hose into the wall socket behind the dryer and secure it firmly with the retainer
Step 5. Plug the dryer into the electrical plug and push it carefully against the wall
Step 6. Push the washing machine close to the wall where you want to install it
Make sure you leave enough space to make the necessary connections behind and to the side. The connections are a few cm long, leave space on the side to install them.
Step 7. Connect the water hose to the hot and cold water inlets on the back of the washer
These tubes screw clockwise to the ends of the inlets. Slide the end of the tube onto the inlet and twist it until it fits snugly. Repeat with the other tube.
Step 8. Connect the other ends of the pipes to the corresponding valves in the wall
Step 9. Connect the standpipe to the drain in the back of the washer
This could be a hose that goes into the floor for drainage or the laundry sink, or it could be a hard hose that extends to the floor for drainage. Either way, you will need to connect it to the outlet as you connected the other piping.
Step 10. The other end of the standpipe is for drainage
If you are using a floor drain, stop the hose a few inches from the filter to better retain debris. If you connect it to an external drain instead, screw the end to the outlet.
Step 11. Plug the washing machine into the electrical plug and push it into place against the wall
Step 12. Check that both appliances are aligned
Otherwise, lift them up and adjust your feet under. Some feet adjust automatically. Others will need to be turned counterclockwise to loosen them and to align appliances well.
Step 13. Start the appliances to make sure they work
The washer needs to fill and drain completely, while the dryer needs to heat up quickly.
