Everyone who works in a hospital, is in the military or even goes to summer camp, has had to learn how to make a bed with hospital corners. It's a very neat way of tucking the sheets under the mattress in the foot area. It's pretty easy to do, but not too easy if you don't have the instructions. So read on for guidance.
Steps
Step 1. Put the flat sheet on the mattress
The long edges and the edges of the feet should hang over the mattress and the long edges should protrude equally.
Step 2. Fold the edge of the feet under the mattress from corner to corner
Make sure the sheet is flat and wrinkle-free.
Step 3. Pull a long edge over the mattress so that it flattens around the corner
The folded edge of the sheet should form approximately a 45 ° angle with the edge of the mattress. The cleaner and wrinkle-free the fold, the better the result.
Step 4. Put your hand on the long side of the corner and smooth the sheet
Tuck all the parts of the sheet that hang under the mattress. You should be able to remove your hand, and the angle should be tight and perfect. A good rule of thumb is that both edges of the sheet (see in the photo) should be aligned and vertical (in this case only one edge is vertical).
Step 5. Bring the corner of the sheet that is above the bed to the edge of the mattress
According to the regulations of some hospitals, you should stop at this point, as shown in the figure.
