If you are visiting Turkey, the Turkish part of Cyprus (North) or just have a few Turkish friends, you will quickly find that most Turks are extremely courteous and say "thank you" very often. In order not to look like a fish out of water or feel uncomfortable as a tourist, learning to say a simple "thank you" will not be very difficult, and could make a great impression. People will greatly appreciate your efforts to learn to thank them in their language.
Steps
Step 1. Learn the Turkish expression used to say "thank you"
“Thank you” is written “Teşekkür ederim” and pronounced Te-scec-cür (u closed as in French and some dialects of Northern Italy) ederim. Practice repeating the expression aloud, starting slowly and articulating the words well, until you have mastered it. It will also be better to learn how to write it, but first focus on verbal expression.
Step 2. Listen to the words
If you are visiting Turkey or Northern Cyprus, you will meet a lot of Turks. Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to speak a foreign language. Try asking a tour guide, for example, how to say “thank you”, or a friend to explain how to do it step by step. Don't be ashamed, the Turks will only be delighted and pleased with the efforts you are making to learn their language.
Step 3. If you don't have any Turkish-speaking friends to practice with, using the Google translator might help

Step 4. Practice constantly
You can practice by repeating the expression yourself, by reaching out to a Turkish-speaking friend and asking if you are expressing yourself correctly, or simply thanking people in Turkey or Northern Cyprus when they do you a kindness. Even if you can't say it perfectly, they will no doubt understand what you mean.
Advice
- Practice spelling the words clearly.
- “Teşekkür ederim” literally means “I thank you”, so you might as well type these words on the internet. If you can't, go back to Google's Turkish to Italian translator and type “Teşekkür ederim” to see the Italian translation.
- You can also simply say “Teşekkürler”, which always equates to “thank you”.
