Earning money when you're thirteen is hard, but if you follow these tips, you'll make money in no time!
Steps
Step 1. Be the referee
Choose a sport you enjoy and learn the rules of refereeing - the minimum age is twelve.
Step 2. Help around the house
Ask your parents if they can give you some money in exchange for simple tasks like washing dishes, vacuuming, dusting, etc. Try to get the highest pay you can, but remember to work hard!
Step 3. Find a job
Of course, you can't have a real job, but you can walk dogs, babysit, or other child-friendly jobs. Prepare flyers and put them in your neighbors' mailboxes, or post an ad. If your family has a business you can ask if they can get you to do some small work.
Step 4. Organize a garden sale
Take anything you don't want anymore and sell it - you can put up signs and spread the word to the neighbors.
Step 5. Save
The best way to do this is to keep the money in the bank, because that way you will earn interest, but you can also keep it in your room. Make sure your brothers don't steal them from you!
Step 6. Create a small business
You can grow and sell vegetables, sell handmade jewelry, or another creative activity.
Step 7. Create a lemonade stand
This old classic is still effective, especially if you also sell cookies or other snacks. Take advantage of hot days, in a park or in areas where there is a lot of walking.
Advice
- On a cold day, if there are many people out and about jogging, take an extension cable from home and set up a stand to sell coffee and hot chocolate.
- Try to charge € 3 per wash no matter how many machines you wash in a week, you could make a lot of money.
- Create a car wash!
- If you wash someone's car really well they might even give you an extra tip.
- For small cars ask for € 5. For larger trucks and / or cars you can ask for a little more than 7 €.
- For example: An SUV or a vehicle of the same size!
Warnings
- Beware of strangers. You don't know but who they are and what they can do.
- Don't insist your family or parents give you money-
this will only annoy them.
- Make sure you give everyone the same pay! (Don't give 1 € to one and 2 € to the other for the same job!)
- Remember to be careful when you are hired by your neighbors.
- Don't take too many jobs or tasks. You also need to take some breaks!
