Changing the throttle return spring of your golf cart can make you gain between 8 and 16 km / h of speed. If you perform this procedure on an 'E-Z-GO' golf cart, you could gain another 11 km / h which would bring the maximum speed from 24 km / h to 35 km / h, in just 5 minutes of work. Let's see how to proceed.
Steps
Step 1. Lift the seat
Step 2. Remove the screws securing the black plastic cover located under the golf cart seat (in total you should have to remove 5 screws)
Step 3. Remove the plastic cover
Step 4. Look at the 'engine compartment' of your golf cart, you should see a spring mechanism directly connected to the throttle cable
This is the spring that manages the accelerator recall. The spring apparatus has two bolts, one small and one larger.
Step 5. Loosen the smaller nut and tighten the larger one
The more you can tighten the large bolt, the faster your golf cart can reach.
Step 6. When you are satisfied with the speed of your 'vehicle', screw in the smaller nut
Step 7. Put the plastic cover back on, your job is done
Good fun!
