This article shows you how to change the default language used by Google Chrome to display the main menu and GUI controls. It is good to remember that the web pages you visit will continue to be displayed in the original language in which they were created, although Google Chrome will offer you the possibility to automatically translate them into the default language you have chosen to use. If you are using the Chrome app for iOS and Android devices, you will not be able to change the default language as it is handled directly by the device's operating system.

Advice

If you change the browser's default language, the one used to spell check the entered text will not be changed. To change this last setting, select the item Spell check in the "Languages" section and activate the gray cursor on the right of the language you want to be used to check the spelling. If you want, you can also disable the blue cursor of the previous default language so that it is not used by Chrome's spell checker.
