This article explains how to select and move an e-book or other type of content from one Kindle to another using a computer's internet browser.
Steps
Step 1. Log into the same Amazon account on both Kindles
In order to perform the content transfer, both devices must be synchronized with the same account.
Step 2. Log in to the Amazon website using your computer's internet browser
Type the URL www.amazon.com into the browser address bar and press the Enter key on your keyboard.
If you haven't logged in yet, click on the yellow button Log in visible on the menu bar, then type in your username and security password.
Step 3. Place the mouse cursor over your name that appeared on the menu bar
It is located near the search bar at the top right of the page. Your account main menu will be displayed.
Step 4. Click on the My Content and Devices option
A list of all the books and content you have purchased will be displayed.
Step 5. Select the books you want to transfer
Click on the check button on the left of the items to select and transfer to the second Kindle.
Step 6. Click on the yellow Delivery button
It is located in the upper left of the table where the books you have purchased are listed. A new pop-up window will appear.
Step 7. Click on the Selected Devices drop-down menu
A list of all Amazon devices linked to your account will be displayed.
Step 8. Select the target Kindle
Click on the name of the Kindle to which you want to send the files you have chosen. This will set the indicated device as the transfer destination.
Step 9. Click the Submit button
It is displayed in the lower right corner of the pop-up window. All selected e-books and content will be sent to the Kindle you indicated.
