Do you want to be a good fighter but don't know how? Just read this article to solve your problem.
Steps
Step 1. Sign up in a reputable dojo, at your convenience
- There is a big difference between "Traditional" fighting styles that focus on "Kata" and preserving the history of the art form with some minor training methods, which are respectable, beautiful, original and healthy styles for the body and mind, but not used in real fights or for wrestler training, and an honest teacher will tell you the same thing.
- Functional fighting styles for self-defense in life or death situations, or to keep a given situation under control when necessary, will guide you towards rigorous training against other people of different builds, until you feel physically and mentally exhausted, following only the cardinal rules: respect your partner and do not hurt anyone.
- But don't let that scare you, because the people who follow these dojos are 99.9% of the time the nicest people you could ever know, people like you who want to be good fighters. You will get hurt, and for all the pain you will cause always apologize. You will recover and come out stronger.
- If your dojo isn't like that, find another dojo. The best fighters do not threaten and do not despise themselves.
Step 2. Every time you fight, let there be honor and pride in your heart
- If you beat someone on the street, respect them. Make sure he's okay and don't be sarcastic or offensive. Offer him a drink or get him something to eat, tell him about your dojo and the positive effects it has on you. Suggest that he join you so that we can fight together again, even if it was an easy opponent.
- As a fighter, it is important to spread respect and a positive attitude among the people around you, especially among your enemies, especially if you have beaten them.
- Winning a fight on the street and acting like an idiot will bring you and the people you love nothing but bad luck. If you comply with their antics, you have lost as much as the person you are fighting with has already lost.
- Make them play your game. You are the strongest person. You know you could save a life or find a best friend. A fighter does not know someone until he has fought us. So, that idiot you just beaten at the bar could become your best friend during a bad night.
- Traditional styles, when done with the right instructor, are very useful and can be lethal to an untrained opponent.
- Whatever you do, DO NOT fight on the ground. Styles like jujitsu are only useful against an opponent in a safe area. On the street, his friends will beat you if you are attempting an excessive choke hold.
- The impressive arts of Taekwondo and Karate (and many others) are the ones most used against many opponents or against someone with a knife. These are styles based on conditioning your body to take and hit. That's why a good number of people can't fight someone who trains to fight.
Step 3. A classic example of what has just been said is the Shaolin monks
- The Shaolin monks exhibit their "fantastic and peculiar superhuman strength", given, as many of them will tell you, by a simplistic and rigorous conditioning obtained over the years according to a program. And that's how you can break a baseball bat with a kick, concrete blocks with your head, or punch through layers of wood.
- Normally, all of these things would cause broken bones, horrible displaced fractures, and trips to the hospital. But if you work very slowly and diligently over the years, these practices could become an eventuality. Keep in mind that you need to train at least 10-14 hours a day to become nearly as good as the Shaolin monks, who live to preserve their teachings. DO NOT kick a baseball bat.
- An ordinary guy watching the UFC in his spare time and working in a cubicle is one thing, but a Shaolin monk who spends his entire life conditioning his body to be hard as iron is another thing. You, at your best as a fighter, are somewhere in between.
Step 4. Eat well
- If you're training to fight your best, you'll need double or triple the calories you normally consume throughout the day. Professional wrestlers consume around 6,000 calories per day.
- If you can't have a good solid food meal with lots of proteins and vegetables, be very careful about the intensity of your workout. Don't try too hard! Aim to have 4 or 5 small meals a day instead of having three full meals. Buy energy bars and drink lots of water.
Step 5. Train at home
- During the day, think about the things you need to improve, where you go wrong in your training or in the fights you lost right away. Think about how to improve from every perspective.
- Shadow training is essential for every style and acts on the refinement of your moves. Don't be embarrassed, because good shadow training improves combat form and style. Try to use a wall or a sack that you can hit (gently) to give you an idea of the variation in your body position.
- Train for every possible match in and out of the ring. As you go for a walk, imagine what can be used as a weapon, what materials are around you that can help or hinder your defense skills. Never get on the corner. Do not get in the habit of walking near window sills, edges or anything that can throw you off balance if caught shooting.
Step 6. Find a meeting place
- You have been training for a few months, now you are in great shape and have a good opinion on how to fight. It might be time to test your skills against other fighters in the meeting places. You might be surprised how many communities have one.
- Test your skills and learn to use them when needed. When you lose, don't be bothered, be happy you've found something to work on. A good fighter would get bored if he won every match easily.
Step 7. Never give up
- You will face difficult times and you will get bad injuries during your training and nevertheless, one day, you will wake up and find yourself a great fighter.
- Never use force to gain control over people and this is one demon you have to fight when you get stronger than many other people. You will want to command and you will not understand why people of authority have more authority than you.
- Don't let people bully you but don't go looking for a fight. If you give in to this, you have failed not only you but also all the people who trained you. Be strong, both mentally and physically.
Advice
- Don't underestimate your opponent, consider him a fair opponent and focus.
- Make sure your thumb is NOT in your fist when you strike, as it could harm you more than your opponent.
- If you lose, don't give up and try your best next time.
- Never give the first punch, unless you like jail!
- Don't fight for no reasons.
- Unless you have trained with a weapon, do not carry one with you. If you see someone intending to use one against you, RUN as fast as possible. There are no techniques that allow you to defend yourself from a weapon. That is why they are called weapons.
- Try not to step on anyone.
- Beware of instigators, keep your personal bubble between 2 and 3 meters. If someone gets too close and is aggressive, get ready to fight!
Warnings
- These steps should not be used, so when you want to beat someone up, believe in your abilities and don't destroy them unless there is a good reason.
- Fighting can be dangerous and should never be done in an unofficial or unregulated area, etc …
- Don't use these steps to your advantage to beat someone up.
