Everyone talks about how to make dreadlocks, but few know how to get rid of them. You most likely don't want to have to cut all your hair.
Steps
Step 1. First of all you need to find out the quality of your dreads
If they are still very loose, you probably won't need to trim them. If, on the other hand, you have been wearing dreadlocks for a long time, and they are very hard and compact, you will have to resort to scissors.
Step 2. If you have found that you need to cut them, cut your hair about 10 cm from the root
Step 3. After the cut, wet your hair
Now apply a generous amount of conditioner.
Step 4. Leave it on for about 3-5 minutes, depending on the characteristics and needs of your hair
Step 5. Remove the conditioner and pat them dry with a towel
Don't use the hair dryer!
Step 6. Apply a hair moisturizer
Step 7. Start combing from the tip of each dread and slowly move towards your head
Try to loosen and part your hair with your hands as well.
Step 8. If you really can't comb them, try cutting the dreads vertically, starting from the tip
Do not make a cut that is too invasive, just favor the work of the comb.
Step 9. You may need to add more moisturizer from time to time
Step 10. After combing, wash your hair again, this time using shampoo
Step 11. Again do not use the hair dryer
Your hair has just gone through a lot of stress and is most likely damaged.
