To be a good hairdresser, you will need to learn basic hair cutting techniques. Even if you just want to cut your own hair, these techniques are great little tips to get carried away and make your hair look great. Follow this guide and begin to take confidence in cutting both your own hair and that of others.
Steps
Step 1. Knowing how to do the seven separation sections technique
Doing this will prepare your hair for cutting and make it easier to keep the ends the same. You should divide your hair so that there is a section in front, one on the top right and one on the left, one sideways to the right and one to the left and one in the nape on the right and one on the left. Secure each section with a clip.
Step 2. Learn the blunt cut
Use the seven-section technique you learned earlier. Comb and then cut each section in front of the face. Make sure you put guides to cut both front and back and follow in each section of the head. Keep the scissors blades horizontal when cutting.
Step 3. Check your work
After the cut, don't let the client leave the salon without checking their hair. Comb each section of hair and make sure they are all the same length. Be wary if you've cut them in a layered style, as controlling them will be more difficult.
Step 4. The layers of hair
Wash your hair well. Comb away all the knots. Collect a section of hair by twisting it in a tight vacuum. Cut your hair straight to the length you want and release the spiral.
Step 5. Do not let the silver paper run off
“Bleeding” is a term used when the product applied to the paper causes stains on the areas of the hair where the meshes should not be made. To avoid dripping, make sure that the sections are well separated and clean, that the paper is folded correctly, and that you avoid applying the product too high in the paper. Instead, leave some space before applying it. Also, don't overdo the product. It is better to put less on the sheets.
Step 6. Learn to cut bangs
Select the hair you want to cut. Part the bangs with a fine-toothed comb. Cut your hair slowly at a 45 degree angle to the length you want. Dry the bangs well to check its real length.
Step 7. Learn the A-cut line
The cut is A when the tips of the hair are scaled so that they are longer in front and shorter in the back. Use the seven-section method and then cut the back sections shorter than the front sections, slightly scaling the hair as you work with the hair in front of the face.
