Congratulations, you are about to officially become a teenager! This only happens once in a lifetime, so you have to celebrate big. How to celebrate this monumental occasion? Let's start collecting some ideas!
Steps
Method 1 of 2: A simple party
Step 1. Invite a group of friends
The more you are, the more you have fun. It doesn't matter if you are 2 or 12, just having a few friends around will make everything more fun. Try to organize a group that is large enough to do group activities, but small enough to be easily managed.
- If you're not sure how many people to invite, plan the party first, and then choose the number. It is possible that at this point the number of people to invite is clear to you - for example why not everyone can get into a car, or why to organize two teams the number of people invited must be equal, or because you only have one certain number of chairs at home.
-
Food is important. Go eat at your favorite restaurant, or stay home and order some pizza; you can also ask your parents to help you cook. Basically, give your hungry friends something to eat, and have fun together, without thinking about school. Good food can be a great way to start a party.
Step 2. Getting your friends to do something is a great idea - for example you can have each one season the pizza themselves with the ingredients you provide, or decorate a cake, or make their own sandwiches
Or let your parents take care of everything. Once the guests have eaten, they can move on to the rest of the party.
Step 3. You can relax and watch a movie, in the cinema or at home
Funny comedies are great when having fun with friends. And then spend the rest of the evening together, making it as late as possible. Who can hold out until dawn? For example, you can do a movie marathon.
If you want to stay up late, make sure you have plenty of sugar to help, lights on, and things to do so you don't get bored and fall asleep. For example, you can build a pyramid of cans to put on Facebook
Step 4. If you are a girl, try putting on each other's makeup
Make each one bring their own makeup and start making yourself beautiful. You can also try something strange. You will have fun looking at the photos! While you are wearing your make-up, you can talk about school, other friends, kids, movies, music, celebrities… anything!
You can also overdo it and make things really ridiculous. Blue eyeshadow, red lips - the things you see in glamor photos. Then take pictures and organize some kind of fashion show, pretending to be supermodels. Use crazy, bright colors
Step 5. Go to the mall
Save some cash in the weeks leading up to the party, and go shopping. You can have fun trying on new clothes, even if you can't afford them! Go into stores you usually never set foot in, and try things you never would. But don't let the shop assistants notice!
If you don't like the mall, where else could you go wild? Do you like libraries? Would you like to spend hours trying on jewelry? Or to paint vases? Or do you like flea markets?
Step 6. Go swimming
You probably live near a pool or beach - unless it's winter, of course. If it can be done, you can spend the whole day there. Everyone can bring something to eat, a towel, and you can spend hours playing and sunbathing. When you are tired of swimming, you can play beach games or eat around a campfire.
Make sure your friends like the idea! Some people don't like to swim, others aren't capable, and still others may not like being in a bathing suit. If you want to celebrate like this, ask your friends first
Step 7. Go out, sing karaoke and play video games
You can organize a karaoke night yourself! Buy or rent equipment (or find a friend who has it) and become a pop star for a night out. When guests' vocal cords are tired, you can move on to some other more competitive game.
Make sure you have your parents' permission. Make them aware of your plans, so that they don't worry and above all they don't come to check what you do every five minutes
Step 8. You can also go bowling
Split into two groups and see who wins - and what wins. Everyone is capable of bowling, and those who can't usually enjoy themselves. Check if the bowling alley is open late on the night of your party.
There are usually pool tables, darts, and video games too! Not to mention the great bowling food. So when you get tired of throwing the ball at the pins, there will be so many other things to do
Step 9. Go play laser tagging
Like bowling, it's something everyone knows how to do. If you are a large enough number of people to organize teams, why not do it? Your birthday will be something everyone will remember.
Being active is always good - especially if it's something different than usual. Also try going to a skateboard park, playing Frisbee golf, volleyball, hiking in the mountains… Do things you don't normally do
Step 10. Play some different party games than usual
They are not just for small children - they can liven up the atmosphere and keep everyone entertained. But you probably don't want to play the classic games you've been playing for years. Here are some new ideas!
- Go on a treasure hunt. Your parents (or any other person) can help you hide things around the house or neighborhood. Two teams may have different clues, and then you may be competing for who finds the treasure first.
- The treasure hunt can also be photographic. Two teams each have a camera, and they have to take five or six photos within a set deadline. Then the cameras have to be swapped, and each team has to take the photos again in exactly the same position. If you are allowed to travel around the city, look for places that others cannot easily recognize!
- Put "challenges" in the balloons. You can write challenges to do on small pieces of paper and place them in balloons. Then the guests will have to choose a balloon, pop it, and then, one at a time, carry out the task written in the balloon. But don't be too bad - create challenges that are just a little bit difficult, don't overdo it!
Step 11. Don't forget the cake
A cake is essential in any party. At the end of the fun, take out the cake and welcome your new year. Now you can have cakes made with any taste.
During the party, you may want to offer other things to your guests as well. Drinks, sweets (of various flavors to please everyone) and snacks will ensure that your guests stay at the party, without escaping to the nearest McDonald's
Method 2 of 2: Party big
Step 1. Indulge yourself
Save the money for a professional beauty treatment in the weeks leading up to your party, or ask your parents for it as a birthday gift. You can even buy some beauty products and apply them to each other in your home during the party! There are tons to choose from, and you will feel great afterwards!
Even if you can't afford a visit to the spa, don't give up! With your friends you can have hand and foot massages, or face massages (start slicing cucumbers!) Or massages each other
Step 2. Go camping
Camping in the backyard is the best choice, in case someone wants to come home during the night. You can still sit around a fire, play games, eat and drink, tell stories, play the guitar, watch the night sky and the firelight. Don't forget the marshmallows to roast!
Make sure you have enough wood available for the bonfire. It is also important to have a little devil and some matches to light the fire. And of course enough food and drink reserves
Step 3. Go to a theme park
Sometimes staying at home, or going to the movies, isn't enough. Make sure you have everyone on hand for the whole day, bring some money for food, and have fun on the roller coaster!
If the nearest theme park is too far away, ask your parents if you and some friends can stay overnight at a nearby hotel to celebrate on the weekend. You can bring some sandwiches, a small suitcase with some spare, and make the most of the free shampoo! Here's a nice way to spend your birthday
Step 4. Do something totally different than usual
Something you almost never do. You can go horseback riding. Go to the theater, maybe to see some comedy show. Paint some cups. Go to the zoo. Dress elegantly. Why repeat what you already do every weekend?
Normal things can be made different from usual with a few simple adjustments. Go to the usual restaurant, but dress up as if you were going to a nightclub. Go to the usual theme park with a list of 100 different things to do, and go wild with them. Organize dinner preparation as if it were a cooking show. The limit is your imagination
Step 5. Have a themed party
Take a quick look at Pinterest and you'll have hundreds of ideas. Look for something none of your friends have ever done.
Talk to your parents, and ask them what can and cannot be done. Give them some ideas and try to figure out together what is suitable and fun
Step 6. Go to a sporting event
Whether it's spring, summer, winter or fall, there's sure to be some sport that you and your friends can go see, to eat popcorn and go wild. Local team matches are usually inexpensive and ensure a great show.
Make it even more fun by bringing food, drinks, chairs and blankets. It's like having a picnic with something extra! It also brings games to play, in case there are long breaks and you need to hang out with something
Step 7. Go to a concert or show
If you celebrate on the weekend, there is most likely something like this fun to do. Throw yourself in, and go see a band you've never heard or a show you didn't know. Search among the events organized in your area and book in advance. It will be a great evening!
Sometimes the concerts end late, and they can be expensive. Make sure your friends agree. Maybe they think of a quiet evening eating pizza and playing video games, while you have some crazy ideas in mind! But maybe you can get them to change their minds
Advice
Make sure you organize everything well. Prepare the food and make sure everyone has fun and is comfortable
Warnings
- Avoid drugs and alcohol
- Make sure no one is allergic to the foods you offer!
