Bed bugs may be "hard bones" but they can't handle the hot steam from a vaporizer. These are great tools for eliminating these and other hosts without using potentially harmful chemicals. Reaching temperatures up to 120 ° C, the vaporizers will kill any bedbugs and their eggs, thoroughly cleaning the infested area. When treating any of these areas you need to keep in mind some guidelines to permanently and safely eliminate bedbugs.
Steps
Step 1. Be careful when you "vaporize" an area that has recently been chemically treated (even with diatomaceous earth)
The heat could break down the chemical molecules present, reducing their effectiveness. Generally speaking, use chemicals after vaping.
Step 2. Before steaming, vacuum the area to be treated
This will increase the effectiveness of the vaporizer. If possible, use a vacuum cleaner with bag to dispose of any mites caught by the vacuum cleaner without problems, throwing the bag directly into the garbage; afterwards, thoroughly clean the bag container and the filter in hot water (following the manufacturer's instructions). Let the pieces dry thoroughly before putting them back together.

Step 3. Read carefully the instructions for use of the vaporizer
Remember that it produces hot steam at very high temperatures!
Step 4. Thoroughly clean the vaporizer using a tea towel or towel to remove excess water from the nozzles
Do this when your vaporizer heats up for the first time and every time you move. Once the water has been removed, you can attach the appropriate accessory and start steaming.

Step 6. If possible, use a larger attachment for the nozzle, as smaller ones create too powerful and centralized jets that risk spreading the bugs rather than killing them
Some vaporizers have a vapor pressure control valve.
Step 7. Don't vaporize too quickly
Hold the tip of the nozzle about 2.5cm-5cm from the surface you are treating and move 2.5cm per second.
Step 8. After steaming the mattress, let it dry thoroughly before putting on any springs, slats or sheets:

Step 9. After vaping, keep an eye on the treated area for bed bugs for a few days:
if there are any signs of cimicidae, repeat the steam treatment. It is always recommended to perform a chemical treatment following vaporization.
