Sometimes when you arrange photos or put them in an album, a little glue or some other type of sticker can stick to the front or back. If it is on the front, it can discolor the photo or collect dirt. On the back of the photo, pieces of paper may have remained stuck to the sticker and prevent it from being able to stick them again on an album. Removing the glue right away will help protect your photos and preserve them.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Remove Residue of Adhesive Tape or Glue
If the glue is still a little sticky to the touch, or if there are adhesive tape residues, they can be easily removed without solvents.

Step 1. Place the photo on a surface with the side where the glue is facing up

Step 2. Hold the photo steady with one hand

Step 3. Place your index finger on the adhesive

Step 4. Push your finger towards the edge of the photo
The adhesive should remove slowly.
Step 5. Continue to push and rub so that the adhesive comes off completely

Step 6. Rub the area where the adhesive was with a soft cloth to remove any residue
Method 2 of 2: Remove Old or Dry Glue
If the glue is dry, you can use a photo remover to remove it.

Step 1. Place the photo on a flat surface with the side with the glue facing up

Step 2. Remove any pieces of paper that were stuck to the glue

Step 3. Apply a small amount of solvent to the glue

Step 4. When the glue has softened, use a razor blade to remove it

Step 5. Pass the razor blade well under the glue

Step 6. Pull or pry up to remove all the glue from the photo
