Have you ever wanted to make your own burp shoulder wipes to give to someone or your baby? Shoulder wipes are simple to make and much more attractive than those bought in stores.
Steps
Step 1. Cut the diaper fabric to the size of 60 x 40 centimeters
Step 2. Fold the fabric in half lengthwise and sew it like a tube, joining the right sides, leaving 1/5 centimeter of distance between each stitch
Step 3. Spread the fabric open on the table, so that the hem is about 10 centimeters from the edge
Step 4. Cut a 12 x 45cm piece of leftover fabric to place in the center section
Step 5. Iron a 1/5 centimeter border on both long sides of the fabric scrap
Step 6. Pin a long edge of the scrap fabric along the seam on the diaper cloth
Secure it 1 centimeter from the ends.
Step 7. Using the Blind Hem Foot, sew the edge of the scrap piece to the diaper fabric
Starts and stops sewing 1 cm from the ends.
Step 8. Repeat on the other side:
Starts and stops sewing 1 cm from the ends.
Step 9. Iron the shoulder wipe to make sure everything is evenly flattened
Step 10. Turn the short sides 1/2 centimeter, iron and / or pin with pins
That's why you started and finished sewing 1cm from the edges, so that you can then turn it around 1cm.
Step 11. Cut a 1 cm strip of tape about 5 cm longer than the width of the shoulder wipe
Step 12. Fold one edge of the tape 1/2 cm and align it with the bottom edge of the shoulder wipe
Secure it with pins.
Step 13. Make a hem using the blind foot
Hold the tape so that the edge lines up perfectly with the edge of the shoulder wipe.
Step 14. Stop sewing about 2.5 cm from the end of the fabric
Raise the presser foot of the sewing machine and thread the end of the ribbon 1/2 cm.
Step 15. Finish sewing along the short side and back up the opposite side
Backstitch or reduce stitch length to 1mm when returning to where you started.
