Do you want your mashed potatoes to be ready in no time? Prepare it in advance and store it in the freezer to always have it available in ultra-fast times.
Steps
Step 1. Use a variety of potatoes suitable for making mashed potatoes, preferably white, starchy and floury potatoes
Step 2. In the preparation of the puree, prefer whole milk and butter, to obtain an optimal result
Step 3. Peel the potatoes
Step 4. Cook them in boiling water
Step 5. Mash the potatoes
Add the milk and butter but do not mix the ingredients by mixing them into the puree.
Step 6. Let the puree cool
Then transfer it to a container or plastic bag and place it in the freezer. If you have decided to use a bag, which is an ideal choice for me, eliminate the excess air!
Advice
- Make sure the potatoes are completely cold when you put them in the freezer. Otherwise, the liquids released by the hot potatoes will freeze forming ice which will moisten the recipe at the time of use.
- Before heating your puree, add a small amount of milk or extra cream, then mix and blend the ingredients as they heat, until you get a soft and creamy puree.
- Frozen mashed potatoes are super easy to heat up and eat whenever you want.
