Ingrediants
- 70 ml of light corn syrup
- 60 g of edible fat
- A pinch of salt
- 25 drops of vanilla extract
- 200 g of powdered sugar
Steps
Step 1. In a large bowl, mix the food fat and corn syrup
Step 2. Add the salt and a few drops of vanilla extract, then gradually incorporate the icing sugar until the dough is well compacted
If you use a mixer, insert the hook whisk.
Step 3. Before using the fondant sugar to decorate the cake, sprinkle some icing sugar on a clean surface and start rolling out the dough
Step 4. Roll it out with a rolling pin until it is 3mm thick or thinner if possible

Advice
- Quickly place it on the cake to prevent it from breaking.
- Add some food coloring to dye it as you mix all the ingredients.
- The planetary mixer is the most suitable tool for mixing ingredients.
Warnings
- Dark sugar can break down very easily, so be careful.
- Being very sweet, don't eat it alone: use it only to decorate cakes!
