To prepare bread and cakes, an oven is not always needed. The microwave is in fact just as effective for cooking various baked goods (including bread, pizza, cakes and brownies) in less time. Just make sure you use suitable ovenproof dishes and pans! Keep in mind that exact cooking times vary according to the power of the appliance.

Steps
Method 1 of 4: Prepare the Bread in the Microwave Oven
Step 1. Prepare the yeast
In a bowl, pour 1 ½ teaspoons of active dry yeast, ½ cup (120 ml) of warm water and 2 cups (500 ml) of warm milk. Stir well and set the bowl aside.
Step 2. Take a large clean bowl and mix the dry ingredients
Pour in 3 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar and 2 teaspoons of salt. Mix the ingredients well with a spoon.
Step 3. Pour the dry ingredients into the yeast bowl
Mix them with an electric mixer using the dough hook. Turn off the mixer once a smooth dough has formed.
Step 4. Cover the bowl of dough with a damp cloth and let it rise
Put it in a warm place for it to rise more quickly. Check the dough after an hour. If the size has doubled, then the process has come to an end. If not, let it rise for another 15 minutes.
Step 5. Incorporate the baking soda and warm water into the dough
Pour 1.5 ml of warm water into a small bowl and dissolve about 1 g of baking soda in it. Once dissolved, pour the solution over the dough. Mix all the ingredients together using a spoon.
Step 6. Spread the batter between 2 greased microwave-safe glass dishes
Let it rise. Cover the dishes with a damp cloth and put them in a warm place. Check the dough after 45 minutes to see if the size has doubled. In this case, the leavening has come to an end.
Step 7. Bake one dish at a time and cook the bread at maximum power for a total of 6 minutes
Before putting it in the microwave, remove the damp cloth. After 3 minutes, open the oven door and turn the pan. Let the bread bake for another 3 minutes to finish cooking.
Step 8. Remove the bread and let it cool
Once cold, remove it from the pan, slice it and serve it.
Method 2 of 4: Prepare a Cake in the Microwave Oven
Step 1. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl
Add 480 g of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, ½ teaspoon of baking soda and ½ teaspoon of salt. Mix the dry ingredients well with a spoon.
Step 2. Melt 2 sticks of butter in the microwave
Put the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and let it melt for 30 seconds. If you don't get a satisfactory result, put it back in the oven for another 15 seconds or until it has melted.
Step 3. Take a large clean bowl and whisk the liquid ingredients
Pour in 2 eggs, 2 cups (500ml) of buttermilk and 1 tablespoon (15ml) of vanilla extract. Beat them until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Step 4. Incorporate the melted butter and buttermilk solution into the dry ingredients
Mix them well with a spoon until you get a smooth batter. If there are any lumps, mash them with a spoon.
Step 5. Pour the batter into a microwave safe silicone mold
If you are going to make a multi-tiered cake, spread the batter between 2 or more molds. But make sure you only cook one layer at a time. There is no need to grease the mold, as the batter will not stick to the silicone.
Microwave silicone molds can be found online or in the dessert department of the supermarket
Step 6. Place the mold in the oven and bake the cake on maximum power for 2 minutes and 30 seconds
At this point, check it to see if it is ready. If liquid batter appears on the surface, let it cook for another minute or until it is soft and dry.
Step 7. Let the cake cool well before glazing
It can take up to an hour for it to cool completely. Avoid doing this while it is hot, or the icing may melt. Once the cake has been glazed, cut it into slices and serve.
Method 3 of 4: Prepare the Pizza in the Microwave Oven
Step 1. Make instant yeast
In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup (120 ml) of warm water and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Dissolved sugar, add 1 teaspoon of instant yeast. Mix the ingredients well. Set the bowl aside for 10 minutes to let the mixture rest.
Step 2. In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of flour and 1 teaspoon of salt
Mix them well using a spoon. Then make a hole in the center of the flour with the help of the spoon.
Step 3. Pour the yeast into the center of the flour
Mix the ingredients using a spoon or your hands until a dough forms. If it's excessively dry, add more water.
Step 4. Add 2 tablespoons (30ml) of cooking oil and knead for 5 minutes
Using one hand, roll the dough back and forth in the bowl. Eventually you should get a smooth sphere.
Step 5. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise for an hour
Check the dough after 60 minutes: if the size has doubled, then the leavening has come to an end. If not, cover it again with the damp cloth and let it continue to rise.
Put the bowl in a warm place to speed up the leavening
Step 6. Separate the dough into 2 pieces and roll them out with a rolling pin
Sprinkle a pinch of flour on the dough to make it easier to work. Roll the rolling pin back and forth until the dough becomes flat and takes on a circular shape. Work it until you get a diameter of about 20 cm. This will be the basis of the pizza.
Step 7. Pierce the dough with the help of a fork
Using a fork, gently make holes in the surface of the dough by spacing them about 1.5 cm apart. The holes improve air circulation, preventing the dough from swelling in the microwave.
Step 8. Garnish the dough as you wish
Distribute the sauce and cheese first, then add your favorite toppings. For example, you can use chopped vegetables such as onions, peppers and mushrooms. If you want to add some meat, be sure to cook it before making the pizza.
Step 9. Place the pizza on a microwave-safe rack and cook for 4 minutes
Check it after 4 minutes. If the cheese hasn't melted, let it cook for another 1-2 minutes.
If your microwave doesn't have a grill, look for one online or at a home improvement store
Step 10. Cut the pizza into slices and serve
Transfer it from the grill to the plate using a spatula. Cut it with a knife to get equal portions.
Method 4 of 4: Prepare Brownies in the Microwave Oven
Step 1. Melt the butter and chocolate in the microwave
Place 1 stick of butter and 90 g of dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt them on full power for 2 minutes. Open the door every 30 seconds to stir the ingredients with a spoon until the process is complete.
Step 2. In a bowl, whisk 2 eggs and 1 cup of sugar
Beat them until smooth. Set the bowl aside.
Step 3. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl
In a large bowl pour ½ cup of flour, ½ teaspoon of baking powder and ½ teaspoon of salt. Mix them well using a spoon. Make a hole in the center of the ingredients with the spoon.
Step 4. In the hole you made, pour the chocolate and eggs
Mix with a spoon. Mix the ingredients until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Step 5. Pour the batter into a greased microwave safe dish
Make sure it's small enough to fit into the oven without any problems. Distribute the batter evenly in the pan.
For even tastier brownies, sprinkle some chocolate chips on the batter before baking
Step 6. Place the pan in the microwave and cook the brownies on high for 5 minutes
After 5 minutes, take them out of the oven to see if they are ready. If there is any liquid left on the surface, let them cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 7. Let them cool for 3 minutes before serving
Once cooled, cut them using a knife. Take the slices out of the pan and serve them.
