Are you about to open a special bottle of wine chosen with care for a particular dinner? Or do you simply want to relax in front of a good glass of wine after a profitable day at work? Just when you are uncorking your wine, do you realize that the cork has broken and is left in the neck of the bottle? Don't panic, read the article and find out how to fix it.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Self-tapping wood screw
Step 1. Get a sufficiently long wood screw
You will need to be able to insert it into the 'butt' of the cork and at the same time hold it between your fingers.
Step 2. Using your thumb and forefinger, screw the screw into the part of the cork remaining in the bottle, be careful to apply the right pressure, do not slide the cork into the wine
Step 3. The ideal would be to have the screw penetrate almost the entire length of the cap remaining in the bottle
Look at the part of the cap that you have already extracted to understand how far your screw must go, when you seem to have screwed in enough, remove the screw by simply pulling it, the cap will come out with it.
Method 2 of 3: With a knife
Step 1. Use a small knife, the blade should not be wider than a few millimeters, choose it pointed and sharp
You have to skewer the cork without sliding it inside the bottle.
