Arceus is one of the rarest Pokémon in Diamond and Pearl, as it is virtually impossible to obtain without a trade or use of cheats. Since it is a Pokémon tied to a limited-time event, it is no longer available in regular play. Instead, you'll need to get one with a trade, or use an Action Replay or emulator to access the no longer available event.
Steps
Step 1. Try to get Arceus with a trade
This is the only legitimate way to get this Pokémon in Diamond or Pearl. Arceus was available for a limited time as a reward for those who participated in Nintendo events in 2009 and 2010. Today it is no longer possible to obtain it except with a trade or with cheats.
Since it is a very rare Pokémon, you will probably have to offer another equally valuable one to get one. Get ready to part with the monsters you are most fond of, such as Landorus or Deoxys. Shiny Legendary Pokémon like a Shiny Mew are also great trading stones
Step 2. Get an Action Replay or play with an emulator
If you can't get Arceus with a trade, using cheats is the only alternative. You can use Action Replay on your DS console, or use the cheats built into your emulator when playing on a computer.
You can transfer your save file from DS to computer (and vice versa) using a flash cartridge such as R4 or Cyclo. On the internet you can find guides explaining how to use a flash cartridge to access your DS files
Step 3. Obtain the National Pokédex in the game
You'll need it to use the special item that grants access to Arceus, even if you get it with cheats. To get it, you must defeat the Elite Four and encounter all 150 Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokédex. It is not necessary to catch them all, you just need to meet them.

Step 4. Add a new code to your Action Replay
The operation to do this is different if you are using the real Action Replay or an emulator:
- Action Replay: Plug the Action Replay cartridge into the DS, then insert the Pokémon cartridge into the Action Replay. Start the device and press the Code Select button. Awards "
"to enter the code. - Emulator (DeSmuME): Launch the Pokémon ROM file with the emulator. Click the "Tools" menu, select "Cheats", then "List". Click on the "Action Replay" button to enter a new code.
Step 5. Enter the code for the Blue Flute
This item is needed to reach the island where Arceus is located. Write the following code in the "

Step 6. Make sure you select the new code
Once entered, you will see it appear in the cheat list. Usually it will be activated automatically, but double click on it to be sure.
Step 7. Start playing and go to a Pokémon Market
Once the code is loaded, play normally. Go to the nearest Pokémon Market, but wait to enter.
Step 8. Hold down the L and R buttons on your DS
After a moment the code you entered will be activated.
Step 9. Enter the Pokémon Market
You should see a green man who is not normally present.
Step 10. Talk to the green man to receive the Blue Flute
This character appears during special events, which you activated with the code entered earlier. He will give you the Blue Flute, which you will use to find Arceus.
The advantage of using this code instead of getting Arceus directly with the cheats is that it will obey you and will be considered a "legitimate" Pokémon, because it will have no unauthorized value
Step 11. Make sure you have a strong team and plenty of Ultra Balls
You have to defeat Arceus before you can catch him and the Legendary Pokémon is at level 80. This means that this is one of the toughest battles in the entire game. Your team must be up to the challenge and you must have enough Poké Balls to attempt the capture.
- Consider using the Master Ball on Arceus to successfully capture him.
- A Pokémon with False Swipe allows you to lower Arceus's health without defeating him. Likewise, the Sleep or Paralysis moves also make Arceus easier to catch.
Step 12. Reach Monte Corona
Here you will use the Blue Flute to reach Arceus.
Step 13. Climb the Peak Lancia
You can find it at the top of Monte Corona.
Step 14. Play the Blue Flute when asked
When you reach the Spear Peak, the game will ask you to play the Blue Flute. Once done, a staircase will appear, from which you can enter the Hall of Origins. Inside you will see Arceus.
Step 15. Save your game before entering the Hall of Origin
Saving before the fight allows you to load up if you accidentally defeat the Pokémon or if you lose the battle.
If you enter the room before saving, the fight will start automatically and you will no longer be able to create a save
Step 16. Approach Arceus to start the battle
Once you enter the room, your character will automatically move. Use your most powerful Pokémon to lower Arceus' health until the bar turns red. Use False Swipe to bring it to 1 HP.
Step 17. Capture Arceus
Once he is low on health, he begins to fall asleep or paralyze him. When you've given him a negative status, start throwing Ultra Balls at him. Keep trying, even if it always breaks free. Eventually, you should be able to catch it.
