Eevee is one of the few Pokémon for which new evolutions are created every time new Pokémon games come out on the market. So far there are eight different "Eeveeolutions" available: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon. The evolutions available to you vary depending on the game you are playing. By evolving your Eevee you can get significant bonuses and will be allowed to learn new moves.
Steps
Part 1 of 4: Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon
Step 1. Decide which elemental Pokémon you want to evolve your Eevee into
Eevee can transform into Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon if you give it a Waterstone, Thunderstone, or Firestone. Giving the Eevee one of these stones causes it to evolve into the form relative to that stone.
These evolutions are available in every Pokémon game and are the only evolutions available in Pokémon Blue, Pokémon Red, and Pokémon Yellow
Step 2. Look for the stone you need
The location and method of obtaining the stones vary depending on which version of the Pokémon game you are playing. They are easier to find in the original games, since you just need to buy them.
- Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow - the stones can be purchased at the Azzuropoli Shopping Center.
- Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald - it is possible to exchange the shards for the stones at the Cercatesori. You can also find a Pietraidrica near the old ship, a Pietratuono in Ciclanova and a Pietrafocaia in the ardent path.
- Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum - stones can be found by digging underground. In Platinum, they can also be found in the ruins of Phlemminia.
- Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 - Stones can be found in fuss, caves and various locations, depending on which version you are playing.
- Pokémon X and Y - Stones can be purchased in the city at the Lumiose Emporium, earned through Super Secret Training, or won by defeating Inver on route 18. You can also find the Stone Stone and Water Stone on Route 9 and the Thunder Stone on Route 10 and 11.
Step 3. Use the stone
Once you have the stone you want, you need to give it to your Eevee. Evolution will begin immediately and within moments you will have your new Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon. Evolution is irreversible and can be performed at any level.
By evolving, the stone will be consumed
Part 2 of 4: Espeon and Umbreon
Step 1. You can evolve Eevee into an Espeon or Umbreon depending on when you upgrade it
To get one of the two evolutions, your Eevee will need to have a high level of friendship or happiness with the trainer. Friendship level must be 220 or higher.
You can only evolve Eevee into Umbreon or Espeon in Generation II games. This is because there is no time element in the original games in FireRed or LeafGreen
Step 2. Consolidate your friendship with Eevee
Using Eevee in battle often and keeping him in your party will help solidify your friendship, allowing you to evolve it. You can also perform special moves to increase the friendship level faster.
- Brushing Eevee will give you a significant friendship bonus.
- Every time you upgrade Eevee you will get a bonus.
- Every 512 steps you will receive a small friendship bonus.
- By using healing items, you will lower the friendship level and, if Eevee passes out, you will lose some friendship. Avoid medicating Eevee in battle and instead take him to a Pokémon Center to heal him.
Step 3. Check your friendship level
You can find many NPCs scattered throughout the various locations of the game; these characters can give you a rough estimate of the level value. When you talk to them, they will respond differently based on the various levels of friendship.
You can meet such non-player characters in different places and each can give you specific information based on your pokemon
Step 4. Level up your Eevee at the right time of day to achieve the desired evolution
Evolution will be different depending on whether it is day or night. It can be upgraded during a battle or by using a rare candy.
- Level up Eevee during the day (04:00 to 18:00) to evolve into Espeon.
- Level up Eevee overnight (6:00 pm to 4:00 am) to evolve into Umbreon.
Part 3 of 4: Leafeon and Glaceon
Step 1. Evolve Eevee into Leafeon or Glaceon by leveling it close to the right stone
In Generation IV (Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum) and later games, Moss Rocks (Leafeon) and Ice Rocks (Glaceon) can be found while exploring the world. Level up Eevee in an area with one of these rocks to kickstart evolution.
- The evolutionary power of the Moss and Ice Rocks takes precedence over any other conditions that allow for alternate evolution, such as Umbreon or Espeon.
- These rocks are part of the environment on the game map and cannot be collected or purchased. You just have to be in the same area where the rock is; it does not need to be framed on the screen. You can find the rock in different locations depending on the game you are playing.
Step 2. Find a Moss Rock
Moss Rock will evolve your Eevee into a Leafeon. When available, you will find only one Moss Rock in each game.
- Diamond, Pearl and Platinum - the Moss Rock is in the Eevopolian Wood. You can have evolution trigger anywhere in this forest except the old castle.
- Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 - You can find the Moss Stone in the wood by pinwheel. Evolution can be triggered anywhere in this forest.
- X and Y - the Moss Stone is on path number 20. Evolution can be triggered anywhere on this path.
Step 3. Find an Ice Rock
The Ice Rock will evolve your Eevee into a Glaceon. When available, you will find only one Ice Rock present in each game.
- Diamond, Pearl and Platinum - Ice Rock is located near Snowpoint City on Route 217. Evolving Eevee near this rock will have the desired effect.
- Black, White Black 2 and White 2 - the Ice Rock is located on the lower floor of Monte Vite west of Mistralopoli. You must be in the same room as the Ice Rock in order for the transformation to take place.
- X and Y - the Ice Rock is located in the frozen cave, north of the city of Frescovilla. You will need a surf to get to the rock and evolve your Eevee.
Step 4. Level up Eevee
Eevee will need to level up for evolution to take place. It is possible to level up by taking part in some battles or by using a rare candy. Evolution will happen automatically if you are close to the rock.
Part 4 of 4: Sylveon
Step 1. Teach Eevee a Fairy Move
To get a Sylveon, you'll first need to make sure your Eevee has learned a pixie move. When you level up Eevee, she will learn Tender Eyes at level 9 and Charm at level 29. Eevee will need to know one of these moves before considering evolution.
Step 2. Play Poké Me & You
In Generation VI (X and Y) games, you can play with your Pokémon, raising the level of affection it has towards you. When the level of affection rises, different parameters and characteristics are affected, but it also allows you to perform special evolutions. Raising Eevee's affection level to 2 hearts will allow him to become Sylveon.
Affection and friendship are independent parameters
Step 3. Feed your Eevee some 'cuddle' them
In the Poké Me & You minigame, feed your Eevee with 'cuddling' them to raise her affection level. The more original the 'pampering' is, the more affection will increase.
Step 4. Stroke and high five with your Eevee
Performing the right interactions will raise your level of affection. You can high-five by standing still for a few seconds. The Eevee will raise its paw and you can touch it to raise the level of affection.
Step 5. Level up Eevee
Once she learns a pixie move and you have 2 hearts of love, you can evolve Eevee into Sylveon. In order for the evolution to take place it will be necessary to level up Eevee. You can level up by participating in battles or using a rare candy.
