This article shows you how to change the theme color on Twitter. Although the customization options offered by the social network are limited, you can change the theme color to any hue found on the HTML color spectrum. The theme color can only be changed on the Twitter website.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Finding a Color
Step 1. Open the HTML Color Codes website
Visit https://htmlcolorcodes.com/ using a browser on your computer. This site allows you to generate a color code so that you can upload it to Twitter for use as a theme.
If you just want to select a preset color on Twitter, read this step
Step 2. Scroll down until you find the color picker, which will allow you to select the color
It is a square that contains a gradient and is located in the center of the page.
Step 3. Select the main color
Click and drag the vertical bar up or down. This will allow you to select the main color you want to use for the theme.
Step 4. Touch up the color
Click on the circle in the center of the square and drag it until you find the color you want. The exact color will appear in the colored rectangle located to the right of the vertical bar. This will be the color of the theme.
Step 5. Look for the color code
Next to the hash symbol ("#"), positioned under the colored rectangle, you will see an alphanumeric code, which you will need to enter on Twitter.
Part 2 of 2: Change the Theme Color
Step 1. Open Twitter
Visit https://www.twitter.com/ using a browser on your computer. The home page will open, if you are already logged in.
If you are not logged in, enter the email address (or username) associated with Twitter and the password before proceeding
Step 2. Click on your profile picture
It is a circular icon and is located at the top right. A drop-down menu will appear.
Step 3. Click Profile
This option is found in the drop-down menu. Your profile page will open.
Step 4. Click Edit Profile
This button is located under the cover image, at the bottom right.
Step 5. Scroll down and click on Theme Color
You will find this option on the left side of the profile page. This will open a section with several boxes of various colors.
Step 6. Click on +
It is located at the bottom right in the section of colored boxes. A text field will open.
If you want to use a preset color, click on the one you are interested in instead and skip the next step
Step 7. Enter the color code
Type the color code in the text field. The key containing the "+" sign should change color to reflect the hue you have chosen.
Step 8. Scroll up and click Save changes
This button is located at the top right. The theme color will then be applied to your profile.
