Step 1. Find out when the user joined Twitter

To find the oldest tweets in an account, you need to find out the month and year it was created. Here's how to do it:

  • You open Twitter (look for the blue icon with a white bird which is usually found on the main screen of your device);
  • Go to the profile of the user you are interested in by clicking on their username or on the photo next to one of their tweets;
  • Find the registration date next to "Registered by" at the top of the profile (under the name and geographic location);
  • Return to the main screen once this information is noted or stored.

Step 2. Go to this page with Safari

Since Twitter Advanced Search is not part of the social network's official app, you need to use a browser to search for old tweets.

The Safari icon features a blue, red, and white compass. You can usually find it on the main screen
