If imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, then it's definitely a good idea to keep track of all the times we've been retweeted on Twitter. Tracking your tweets lets you know who is following them in the twittersphere. There are various methods to do this and also to trace other data relating to ritweets. Keep reading this article to find out a few.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Using Twitter Search
Step 1. Log in to Twitter
Step 2. Type “RT @ [handle]” in the search bar at the top of the page
You will be taken to a page showing a list of all tweets that include retweets of the specified handle.
Next to "Tweet", select "Top" to see the tweets with the most retweets; select "All" to see all tweets within your search terms, with the most recent one at the top
Step 3. Bookmark the page or create an RSS feed
This will allow you to easily track your retweets and be notified whenever a user retweets your posts.
Method 2 of 3: Using Retweet Rank
Step 1. Go to Retweet Rank
This site displays a ranking of Twitter users based on retweets.
Step 2. Enter your username in the text box
You will be taken to a page showing your username, rank, number of tweets and followers.
Click on the “Tweet” icon on this page to post a tweet containing your RetweetRank stats
Step 3. Log in to Twitter and open your user page
Under your profile information, click on the button that says "Login with Twitter". Enter the information when prompted and log in. You will be taken to your user page, where you will be presented with advanced information about your tweets and retweets.
Step 4. Purchase a premium package to access more stats
RetweetRank's free service is great for casual users, but if your account has a high volume of traffic, it might be worth buying a premium account. To do this, click on "Upgrade" or "Pro" from your personal profile. You will be taken to a page that lists four different services, from Basic (free) to Business (monthly subscription). You can get more information about these services by scrolling to the bottom of the page. You can also get a free 14-day trial for each of the available services.
Method 3 of 3: Using TweetReach
Step 1. Go to TweetReach
This site gives you information about your most popular retweets and shows how many other Twitter users one of your Tweets reached.
Step 2. Enter your username in the search bar
Step 3. Take a look at the search results
TweetReach shows some data about your retweets and only takes into account the last 50 times your tweet has been retweeted.
- “Reach” is the number of unique users who have seen your tweet through other users' retweets.
- “Exposure” is the total number of twitter users who viewed your tweets through other users' retweets.
- “Activity” shows how many times your tweets have been retweeted (up to 50), the number of different twitter users who have retweeted your tweets, and the length of time you have been retweeted.
- “Top contributors” means the twitter user who reached the largest number of other users with the retweet of your tweet.
- “Most Retweeted Tweets” shows your tweets that have been retweeted multiple times
- “Contributors” shows all users who have retweeted your tweets
- “Tweets Timeline” shows a complete list of the retweets of your tweets.
Step 4. If you are planning on spending money to get more detailed stats, consider purchasing a premium package to get a full report
To do this, click on the "Get the full report" button located at the top of the page. Then, you can pay the required amount to receive it by e-mail, or click on "View Plans" to choose other more detailed options (these options allow you to see the data of all your tweets, rather than the 50 of the free service).
