This wikiHow teaches you how to insert a Bitmoji in a text message and send it to a contact using an iPhone or iPad.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using the Bitmoji Keyboard
Step 1. Open the Messages application on your device
The icon looks like a white speech bubble inside a green box and is on the device's Home screen. A list of all the conversations you have had via SMS will open.
If a conversation opens in full screen, click on the arrow at the top left to return to the message list
Step 2. Select a personal or group conversation
This way, it will open in full screen.
Alternatively, you can start writing a new message by pressing the icon that looks like a paper and a pen. It is located in the upper right corner of the screen
Step 3. Press on the text field to write the message
The field in which the message must be entered has the message "Text message" or "iMessage" and is located at the bottom of the conversation. Tapping it will open the keyboard.
Step 4. Press and hold the globe icon on the keyboard
This button is located between the 123 key and the microphone icon in the lower left corner of the keyboard. This will open a menu with the various keyboard input methods.
Step 5. Select Bitmoji on the menu
In this way, the keyboard will be changed and the Bitmoji menu will open.
Step 6. Click on the Bitmoji you want to send
Scroll through the Bitmoji menu to find the one you want to send and tap it to copy it to the clipboard. A green bar will appear on the keyboard to confirm that the Bitmoji has been copied.
In the menu, you can switch between categories by swiping your finger left or right. Alternatively, tap a category icon at the bottom of the screen
Step 7. Press and hold the message field
This will bring up a black toolbar with the various options available.
Step 8. Click Paste in the toolbar
The copied Bitmoji will then be pasted into the message.
Step 9. Click on the icon that looks like an arrow pointing upwards
It is located in the lower right corner of the message field. If you use iMessage, it will be blue. If you want to text instead, it will be green. It will allow you to send the message to the contact.
Method 2 of 2: Using the Bitmoji Application
Step 1. Open the "Bitmoji" application on your device
The icon looks like a white emoji that winks in a green box and is on your device's Home screen. This will allow you to open the list of recent, new and themed Bitmojis.
Step 2. Tap on the Bitmoji you want to send
Examine the Bitmoji menu to find the one that works best for the message and press it to open a pop-up menu with the various options available.
In the menu, you can switch between categories by swiping your finger left or right. Alternatively, tap a category icon at the bottom of the screen
Step 3. Select Message in the pop-up window
The icon looks like a white speech bubble in a green box. This way, the selected emoji will be inserted into a new text message.
Step 4. Click on the "+" icon
This button is located next to the "To:" box in the upper right corner of the screen and opens the contact list.
Alternatively, you can manually enter the contact's phone number in the "To:" box
Step 5. Select a contact
Search for the contact you want to send the message to and tap on their name. This way, your number will be entered in the "To:" box, which is the recipient field.
Step 6. Click on the icon that looks like an arrow pointing upwards
This button is located in the lower right corner of the message field. If you use iMessage, it will be blue. If you want to text instead, it will be green. The message will then be sent to your contact.
