This article explains how to block receiving calls from a specific number on a ZTE Android mobile.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Block Receiving Calls and SMS from a Specific Phone Number
Step 1. Launch the Phone app
It is characterized by an icon in which a telephone handset is visible and is normally placed directly on the Home of the device at the bottom of the screen.
The procedure described in this section is also used to block the receipt of SMS from the same telephone number
Step 2. Press the ⁝ button to enter the app main menu
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Select the Settings item
It is the last option listed in the menu that appeared.
Step 4. Choose the Call Blocking item
It is displayed at the bottom of the appeared menu.
Step 5. Select the Add a number option
Step 6. Enter the phone number you want to block
Step 7. Press the Lock button
The entered number will be added to the blocked people list. From this point on, you will no longer be able to receive voice calls and SMS from the specified number.
To delete the mobile number in question from the list of blocked persons, select it and press the button Unlock.
Method 2 of 2: Automatically Route a Contact's Calls to the Voicemail
Step 1. Select the "App" icon
It is usually located at the bottom of the device's Home screen.
- The procedure described in this section is also used to block the receipt of SMS from the selected contact.
- In this case, the person you blocked will still be able to leave you a voicemail message.
Step 2. Launch the Contacts app
It features a phone book icon along with a stylized human silhouette.
Step 3. Select the name of the contact you want to block
Step 4. Press the ⁝ button to enter the app main menu
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 5. Select the All Calls to Voicemail option
From now on, all calls you receive from the person indicated will automatically be sent to your answering machine. In this scenario, the person will still be able to leave you a voice message.
