Step 1. Decide what it means to stand out from the crowd for you
Does it mean being as different from others as possible or does it mean making an extra effort to prove that you are one in a million in terms of skills, talent or personality? Standing out from the crowd can simply mean trying to live life to the fullest and give your best. Or it can be trying to have a unique style that you created yourself without stealing ideas from others. At its core, standing out from the crowd means loving your individuality and knowing that the choices you make are right. The human being you project onto anyone will be able to stand out much more easily if you are sure of yourself.
Step 2. Think your way
You will never be able to stand out from the crowd if you share their thoughts. There will probably be times when the mass thinking aligns with yours, but think about everyone else. Be prepared to state your differences, concerns, and preferences. When you talk, it's important to show that you are confident and well informed, so make sure you have researched yourself before you say anything.
Step 3. Don't get swayed by the crowd
The crowd moves at a non-stop pace, and the ease with which they change ideas, clothes and fashions is breathtaking. Rarely does anyone in the crowd stop for a moment to understand if this shared path is responsible or aware of the needs of individuals, from a general point of view. If you want to stand out from the crowd, you will have to stop and ask yourself the tough questions, like "what is the purpose of this?" or “just because everyone has the brand new X gadget, why should I have one too? Would it improve my existence?"

Look for new ways to attract people's attention and stay at the center. Step 6. Show good manners
Education opens the doors and leaves them open. Good manners seem like an old-fashioned thing nowadays, but they are the most precious form of respect, and when a person feels respected they are more inclined to remember forever who used those good manners towards them. People are very keen to tell each other how rare it is to find someone with "impeccable manners". Make sure you are that person.
- Give thanks for what people do, no matter how big or small. Send thank-you cards to people who helped you meet a deadline, who left the door open when you had your hands full, or who gave you a great afternoon. When you make a promise, do your best to keep it. People who stand out from the crowd are people who keep their word and honor their promises to help, stay in one place, or do something for someone. The reason you will stand out is that very often people don't do what they promise. Reliability makes you memorable and puts you above those who break their promises.
Step 8. Show initiative
Very often, standing out from the crowd means taking the initiative while everyone stays in their place. If you learn to understand situations quickly and respond appropriately as needed, you position yourself differently from the silent majority waiting to see what happens next.
- Create innovation at work, at home and in your volunteer group. Be the first to highlight what works, and how to make the most of what doesn't. Leadership requires tenacity and certainty of one's goals, it will ensure you a place out of the crowd.
- If you see someone in trouble, don't think someone else will come to help them. Stop and ask if he needs help changing the wheel, or picking up the papers he has dropped. Call the police if you see that someone is in danger and it is too risky to intervene, do not think that someone has already done so!
Step 9. Dress uniquely and wear what suits you
Clothes speak their own way, and those tailored and perfectly fitting to the body can get people noticed. Dress in good quality clothes, better few but good, than many but scarce.
