If you have decided to "unjailbreak" your iPhone and want to restore it to its original state, you can do so at any time using the iTunes Backup and Restore feature. Note:
[a backup of your iPhone] is strongly recommended before restoring, as this deletes all data on the device. Using this method you reset your phone to factory settings and install the latest version of iOS.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Put the Device in Recovery Mode
Step 1. Connect the iPhone to your computer
To do this, use a USB lightning cable.
Step 2. Press and hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds
Release the Power button after 10 seconds.
Step 3. Press and hold the Home button for another 5 seconds
The "Connect to iTunes" screen should appear.
Step 4. Release the button
Part 2 of 2: Using iTunes Backup and Restore
Step 1. Open iTunes on your computer
Step 2. Click OK
By doing so, you confirm that you want to restore the device in recovery mode.
Step 3. Click on Restore iPhone
Step 4. Click Restore and Update
iTunes will start restoring your device.
- This can take a few minutes.
- Do not disconnect the device during the operation.
Step 5. Click on "Restore from this backup:
Click on "Set as new iPhone" to start from scratch
Step 6. Select the backup from the menu that appears
Step 7. Click Continue
iTunes will configure your device.
This can take a few minutes
Step 8. Complete your iPhone setup
Follow the directions on the screen. The device will be restored to its pre-jailbroken state and everything in it will be deleted.
Advice
- Do not disconnect your iPhone during the restore operation.
- At the moment, resetting is the only way to remove iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak.
- Cydia Eraser, a commonly used tool to cancel jailbreak on devices with older iOS versions, does not support 9.3.3.
Warnings
- Using this method you reset the device to factory settings and install the latest version of the iOS.
- Apple does not support jailbroken devices. If you are planning to deliver your iPhone to a shop for repairs, return it to factory condition.
