The gymnastics / physical education course in high school can become a wonderful experience if you approach it with the right attitude, do not skip classes and participate in all the activities. Only then can you get a good grade.
Steps
Step 1. Get used to the locker room
You've probably had some experience with changing rooms in junior high, but if not, don't worry too much about your mates staring at you while you're changing. In truth, no one will look at you. Most schools have strict rules prohibiting the use of cell phones or cameras in the locker room. If your school doesn't have these rules, ask your teacher to set them up.
Step 2. Keep your items safe while you are teaching
Thefts are a big problem in many locker rooms. Always lock your locker, even if you think no one will enter the locker room. There is nothing worse than returning from gym class to find that someone has taken your clothes, shoes, wallet, cell phone, etc.
Step 3. Show up to class on time
Remember that you will have limited time to get dressed, so try to be quick.
Step 4. Always change before going to class
Avoiding wearing a tracksuit can negatively affect your grades. Unless you accidentally forgot your tracksuit at home, you should always change before going to class. Even if you hate running, it would be better for you to have some sort of evaluation, rather than a sure rejection for not taking part in that activity.
Step 5. Attend classes regularly
Don't skip physical education because you "don't like it". Go to class, but don't overdo it and try not to stress yourself out.
Step 6. Don't waste time, chat with your friends, or act like you shouldn't when warming up or push-ups
Step 7. When running, go slow and don't strain
Do not sprint forward during the starting phase and then tire immediately after completing half a turn. Try to run at a steady pace. Try not to stop and walk more than twice during your run. Don't worry about how you're going to score - we're talking about the gymnastics class, not the Olympics.
Step 8. In team sports, try to take an active part, even if you are not very good
You don't need to be the top player to score all the goals for the team, but on the other hand, you shouldn't stand there either.
Step 9. Do your best
PE teachers are human beings too, and they will appreciate that you are at least trying.
Step 10. Girls, I know from personal experience that PE can be a nuisance
Hair styling, as well as makeup are easily damaged. For this reason, I hated gymnastics, but there is a solution to these problems. If your hair gets curly when you sweat and when you exercise, buy / bring a hair straightener from home to use after the gym or, if you plan to do an activity that ruins your hairstyle … don't spend hours on do it before you go to school. Make yourself beautiful the next day, when you know you have nothing planned to ruin your hair. The simplest solution is to pull your hair up in a ponytail when you need to do gymnastics. As for the make-up problem, take some cosmetics with you in a make-up bag, fix your face quickly and that's it. Make sure you get to the next lesson on time, though. It's not worth being late or skipping class just to look flawless. Cultivating yourself is more important.
Advice
- If you hate running, and are physically fit to run, practice running every day. The more your stamina increases, the more you will be able to run quickly, making this activity more enjoyable for you. Eventually, you will be able to do the hundred meters with your eyes closed.
- Talk to your teacher on your own if you have cramps, feel bad, etc. This means behaving in a mature way and your teacher will understand that you are not just trying to avoid the lesson. Tell the teacher that you are not feeling well, clearly explaining your problem. Explain that you still intend to participate in the lesson, but that you are letting him know if he ever notices that you are running slower than usual or are not very involved in team games.
- If you are not the athletic type, do your best anyway. The coach will appreciate your effort.
- If you feel really uncomfortable during physical education classes, for example, while running, you may have a health problem such as asthma. If you experience any kind of respiratory problem, joint pain, dizziness, etc., during the hour of gymnastics, consult a doctor immediately and ask your parents to write you a justification for the gymnastics class until you have been examined.
- Be courteous to your physical education teacher.
Warnings
- Don't try too hard. Know your limits. (See the first step above)
- NEVER falsify a justification. It is always better to go to gym class than to be punished for faking one.
- Don't ask your folks to sign you too many excuses if you're not really sick. The teachers would immediately notice that there is something suspicious.
