Let's face it, we all love money and want to spend it. But, think about it for a second. Would you rather have little money now, or more money later?
Steps
Step 1. Earn some money
Read our other articles on how to make money (for teens).
Step 2. Save as much as you can
Step 3. Once you have saved enough, ask your parents to open a checking account for you
This will eliminate the temptation to spend that money.
Step 4. If you are not old enough to get a job, get busy around the house, fix even when you don't ask, or work harder or do something that can earn you more
Also, make a deal with your parents about your grades - for example, for each 'Great', they give you € 5.
Step 5. Start saving when you are young
Let's say you have € 10, you save € 5 a week and you keep 5 more. After a while it can become a nice sum. If you save € 5 a week, that's € 240 a year. If you continue until you get a job you can get a nice nest egg (eg let's say you start at 12. € 240 per year * 5 = € 1,200. At 17 you could have € 1,200, just when you need it. of a car and you have the freedom and the ability to drive around.
Step 6. Get an income and expense log (you can buy it at stationery stores), a calculator, paper clips, and three pens - one red, one blue, and one black
Track every penny that goes into or out of your checking account and wallet, and keep all receipts using paper clips. This will allow you to get a detailed account of your expenses, updated to the latest expense and available at any time.
