Are you super worried because you don't know what to expect once you start high school? Well, guess what? It happens to everyone! Use the tricks below, though, which will tell you how to behave on the first day!
Steps
Step 1. Keep in mind that you will have to move a lot between one class and another
Depending on the school you attend, you may have more subjects to study and more classes to go to - one for EACH subject! Be ready to move around all the time. To survive, remember in which classes the classes you will have to attend will be held and where they are. Introduce yourself to teachers to make a good first impression.
Step 2. Understand that high school is different from middle school
There are many more bullies, strict teachers and classrooms! Do not worry; there are also some perks: more friends, a locker (hopefully), more freedom (hopefully!) and maybe being able to find a girl or a boy! Things will be very different, so try to get used to the idea and not feel stressed by these changes.
Step 3. Organize your locker
Keep all your books and stuff in there! Normally, you will go there after each lesson to get the materials you will need for the next one!
-
Keep a small mirror in your cabinet, preferably a magnetic one. Since you won't have even a minute to waste between lessons, the mirror can come in very handy!
Step 4. Get to know your teachers
If you have strict teachers, try to enter into their good graces, handing over the assignments that are assigned to you and giving them gifts (but don't overdo it; otherwise everyone will start calling you “the master's coconut”!).
Step 5. Pay attention to some people
Don't get in the way of high school students! They are older and you freshmen will be easy targets for them, so watch your back. If someone tries to threaten or annoy you, talk to an adult you trust.
Step 6. Be prepared to enter the cafeteria
Try to have friends to sit with, otherwise you will look lonely and feel alone. Make new friends to hang out with and try to eat healthy on the first day.
Step 7. Focus on the study
Do your homework and study for the exams! There is no need to have only "10", but having insufficient in all subjects would not be a good thing at all. Set aside an hour to study before an important exam and take notes during class.
Step 8. Start dating the girls
You're older now and can start dating girls (ask your parents for permission first, though)! Just be careful about the person you choose to invite. If you're not interested in dating girls for now, don't worry. Take your time and rest assured that the person you care about will come to you sooner or later, but if you feel like dating a girl, try making the effort yourself instead.
Advice
- Have fun, but concentrate on studying above all!
- Try to have good personal hygiene, brush your teeth and take a shower!
- Be kind and smile! Don't let others think you are a cold and cruel jerk!
- Try to present yourself decently in front of everyone, especially the cute girl or attractive guy you like!
- Make your locker a sight and enjoy!
Warnings
- Stay out of the melodramas!
- Be yourself!
- Don't flirt too much!
