Were you left alone because your parents went to work or did your siblings go out with friends? This experience can be a strange combination of fun, fear, pleasure, loneliness and freedom. If you're home alone, this will probably be your first time, so come up with some brilliant ideas to keep yourself from getting bored.
Steps
Step 1. Clean your room
It's not the funniest thing to do, but it would be a lot more fun and relaxing to rest in a clean and tidy room.
Step 2. Put on more comfortable clothes
The best are sweatpants with a t-shirt or cropped top with a pair of comfortable leggings. Try to find the balance between beautiful and comfortable (don't dress up like you're going out, but like friends improvise you and drop in to pick you up). Remember that if someone comes (perhaps the gardener, a friend, the neighbor, etc.), it is not advisable to open the door in skimpy or inappropriate clothing!
Step 3. Make sure windows and doors are closed
Step 4. Make yourself a snack buffet
They don't necessarily have to be healthy.
Step 5. Choose some nail polish you like
Step 6. Choose a movie you like
You can stream it and connect it to your TV using an HDMI cable. You can also order it On Demand, if you have a paid service, or watch it with the DVD player.
Step 7. Grab some soaps, cleansers and toothpaste, mix it all up and make a face mask
Be careful: it might taste like mint! Rinse off after about 2-5 minutes.
Step 8. Put all the food you have on a tray, grab the nail polish and phone and throw yourself on the bed
You can watch the movie while you polish your nails and eat whatever you want!
Step 9. Do your homework
While it may not be the funniest idea, it's a great way to do your homework and relax afterward.
Step 10. Play your favorite song, play with your favorite band and dance in the room
After all, there is no one else in the family complaining or telling you to stop! Do this if you are good at playing a musical instrument.
If you don't know how to play an instrument, then still do it by pretending
Step 11. Make sure you complete everything your parents asked you to do
It's best not to infuriate them when they get home.
Step 12. Talk to friends in video chat or instant message
It is always reassuring to know that you are not alone in the world!
Step 13. Make a photo collage of your friends (if you have them)
It's a great way to show your appreciation to friends in your life.
Advice
- Don't neglect your daily responsibilities.
- Be careful not to turn the music up too loud when you listen to it. Not only will you disturb the neighbors, but people will also know that you are home.
Warnings
- Do not cook if your parents do not allow it, especially do not light the fire and do not put the water to boil.
- Don't slip away to go do something. If something happens, your parents won't know where to find you.
- Don't throw a party. If something happens, it could be inconvenient for your parents and, consequently, also for you.
- If you live in a small neighborhood or city, don't go out. If you really have to, though, don't get distracted while you're out and back on time.
- It may seem like a good idea, but don't sneak in and don't open the door for strangers. Ask if it is possible to install a peephole on the door, if not already there. This is a good idea for your own safety.
- Never tell anyone you're alone in the house, not even a friend. It would be inappropriate if you accidentally miss the news in the presence of other people.
- Try not to bathe or walk on slippery surfaces when alone.
