Football is a very fun and quite competitive game. Whether it's just for fun or you want to participate in a competitive competition, here's how to form a football team.
Steps
Step 1. Look for people who want to play on your team
You will need about 16 people to have a full football team; 19 people to play away, including three goalkeepers and five other players on the bench.
Step 2. Ask the coach to make an initial assessment
First the coach must know the technical level of each player, and then he must prepare a program to develop individual and team skills.
-
Divide the group into two teams and have a practice match.
-
Have each player take turns as the goalkeeper, after each goal.
-
Take note of the possible starting positions.
-
The coach's schedule must initially address the fundamentals of football.
Step 3. Assign positions on the field
Once you have identified and assessed the technical level of the players on your team, you will need to start assigning positions on the pitch.
- Forwards: they are the players who score the most. You will need three forwards, one on the right wing, one in the middle and one on the left wing.
-
Defenders: are the players who defend the goal of their team. You will need three defenders, a right back, a center and a left back.
-
Midfielders: are the players who are between attackers and defenders. You will need four midfielders.
-
Goalkeeper: defends the goal. You only need two goalkeepers.
-
Stopper: A defender capable of stopping attacks in the central area. You only need one stopper.
-
Libero: is the player who covers the area between the defenders and the goalkeeper, and must be quick and decisive. You need only one free.
Step 4. If you play just for fun or otherwise in a non-competitive context, go ahead and start playing
If, on the other hand, you play at a competitive level and are participating in an official championship, read on.
Method 1 of 1: Competitive Level
Step 1. Look for a coach
Find a good manager who is always there to help and prepare the team. He must be an absolutely reliable person, who does not leave the team in the middle of a championship.
Step 2. Find an original name and choose the team colors
If you are going to enter an official tournament in your area, you will need to have a nice name and colors for the team kit.
Step 3. Go in search of sponsors
Find sponsors who can financially support you and help you raise awareness of your team. Take a tour of local stores and talk to managers about sponsoring your team.
Step 4. Sign up for a tournament
When the team is ready, you can start signing up for tournaments.
