If you are looking for God and want to live for him and honor him, praying is a very important thing. Praying does not only mean kneeling and murmuring with your mouth closed as monks do following a precise ritual. There are many ways to worship God in everyday life that God will appreciate and you will appreciate too!
Steps
Step 1. Sing
Psalm 95: 1 says "Sing to the Lord, bless his name, proclaim his salvation day by day!" Sometimes you won't feel like you are giving much to God, but try to learn to love and smile and try to sing church songs. Try to be full of energy because you have to dedicate time to Him and you have to focus only on God and Jesus, singing from the bottom of your heart, as Neema 8:10 says "The joy of the Lord be your strength."
Step 2. Pray
2 Chronicles 7:14 says "if my people, upon whom my name is called, humbles themselves, prays, seeks my face and turns from their wicked ways, I will hear them from heaven, forgive them their sins, and heal. his country. " According to Ephesians 6:18, God appreciates when we worship him with "all kinds of prayers and requests." The heart can perceive sincere prayers such as “My heart tells me from you: Seek my face! I seek your face, O LORD”(Psalm 27: 8). God appreciates devoted and sincere prayers. It's a perfect way to start the day as the Holy Spirit will descend on you and your light will shine on the rest of the world! (the people around you).
Step 3. Make an offer
To worship God, Christians make a sacrifice by offering bread and wine. In Catholic, Orthodox and Anglican churches, the priest carries out the transubstantiation of the bread and wine, which literally become the body and blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Step 4. Offer incense to God
The next time you pray, use incense for your prayers.
Step 5. Light candles for God
When you pray, go to a quiet, dark room and light a candle to show your reverence for Him.
Step 6. Come on
Hebrews 13:16 says "And do not forget to exercise beneficence and to share with others your possessions; for it is with such sacrifices that God is pleased." This is a type of worship. It is better to give than to receive. Give God and others your time, skills, resources, money and love! Helping someone or making someone's day better by doing something for them is a great feeling.
Advice
- Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14 "Let us therefore listen to the conclusion of the whole discourse: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole of man. For God will bring into judgment every work, all that is occult, be good, is bad. " Furthermore, Psalm 147: 11 says "The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope for his kindness." I understand that when you are not afraid of God you can get out of his blessings and protection, which is not always a good thing.
- Matthew 22:37 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and most important commandment." (Essentially if you love God, do as you please, because if you really love him you will act in a way that honors him in the best possible way.)
