If you are considering getting a nose piercing, there are several factors you need to consider before deciding: maybe you are afraid of pain, or you don't know if it will be okay, or you still have an allergy to metal or you are a minor. A fake piercing can be an excellent and realistic alternative to a real piercing.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Make a Nose Ring
Step 1. Collect the necessary materials
If you only need a little glue to make a diamond piercing, the ring piercing requires a little more effort. You need a pair of pliers, a pen (or pencil), a file and some wire (or a pin).
- The choice between wire and pin depends on the look you want for your nose ring. For example, do you want the ring to be thick (pin) or thin (wire)? Do you want it in gold or silver? If you want it thin, then some florist's wire is for you.
- It is material that is easily found in hobby and DIY stores or hardware stores.
- It can take a few tries to make a ring the right size, but when you become familiar with the use of these materials you will be able to make a perfect ring in no time.
Step 2. Make the nose ring
Place the essentials on a flat surface, possibly near a mirror. If you are having difficulty working with any of these materials, ask a family member or friend to help you.
Step 3. Shape the wire
To give a wire / pin a circular shape, roll it around a pen or pencil.
Take the wire / pin and roll it around the pen (or pencil) to form a circle. Then remove the headband from the end of the pen
Step 4. Cut the nose ring to give it the right size
Take the pliers and cut off the ends of the wire / pin, making them fit together. At this point, the ring should have a circular shape. Don't worry if the ends don't match perfectly.
Step 5. Refine the ends of the ring
Use the pliers to curl one end of the headband backwards. Do not bend it more than 5-6mm. If the wire / pin is properly curved, you will see a small "O" or "U" closed at the end, which, being rounded, ensures the safety of the piercing, preventing it from scratching the inside of the nostril. The "O" end is the one that goes inside the nostril.
Smooth the other end of the headband. Use a file to smooth the other end of the headband to prevent it from scratching the outside of your nostril
Step 6. Put on the nose ring
Place the ring and tighten it a little to secure it. You should be able to fold it quite easily so that it stays up until you decide to take it off.
Remember: it's a fake piercing and you can take it off at any time if you want. For this reason, when sleeping, showering, swimming or engaging in a demanding activity, it is best to remove it
Method 2 of 2: Make a Nose Pin
Step 1. Purchase the material
You will need something that resembles a diamond, to use as a nose pin, and some glue to secure it. The pin can be a jewel, a bead, a sequin or any other small and flat object. As an adhesive, the glue used for false eyelashes is ideal, because it is light and does not damage the skin.
- You can buy the essentials online or in a DIY store.
- Avoid glues that can be harmful to the skin, especially the sticky one: they are dangerous and can create problems for you.
Step 2. Prepare the material
When you have your favorite false eyelash glue and glitter, you can start making your own nose pin.
- Place the material on a flat surface lined with paper towels, possibly near a mirror. The kitchen paper is used to avoid staining the surfaces with glue and losing the glitter if you happen to drop it.
- If you are unsure of the type of glitter, put some close together and choose the one you like best.
Step 3. Apply the nose pin
Put a dab of false eyelash glue on the back of the glitter. Be careful not to put too much on it, to avoid it producing a scruffy effect and not drying out. Let the glue sit for 20 seconds, then place the glitter on your nostril.
Step 4. Hold it steady until the glue is completely dry
There is no need to press hard - just apply light pressure. It will take about 30 seconds for the nose pin to dry.
Step 5. Look in the mirror
Admire your new look with the glitter on the nose. If you avoid touching it all the time and don't sweat too much, it should stay up all day. Remember that it's the glue that holds it together.
Step 6. Remove the fake piercing at the end of the day
To do this, simply twist it and it will come off - very easy and painless.
