Baby oil is a mildly scented mineral oil that is generally used after bathing babies to soften their skin. It is a rather simple product designed for particularly sensitive skin that can moisturize the epidermis, tame unruly hair and even polish shoes. In fact, there are dozens of methods to integrate it into your beauty rituals. A small amount is enough, so with a very small investment you can achieve exceptional results.
Steps
Part 1 of 4: Cleanser and Makeup Remover
Step 1. Use the oil to wash your face
If you have dry skin, you can try the oil cleansing method as an alternative to the usual cleansers containing surfactants. Pour it on a cotton pad and apply it to the skin.
- Remove the excess with a clean cotton pad and let the rest absorb into the skin.
- If your skin becomes too oily, you can alternate it with a foaming cleanser.
Step 2. Remove make-up with baby oil, which is also effective for removing waterproof mascara
Pour a small amount of oil onto a cotton pad, apply it to your lashes and let it sit for a few seconds, then remove it with a clean pad.
- Repeat all over your face until you have completely removed your make-up.
- Make sure you close your eyes when you take your make-up off.
- Rinse it or let it absorb into your skin to hydrate it.
Step 3. Use a few drops of baby oil to brighten the cheekbones
After you put your makeup on, pat a very small amount on your cheekbones. It will immediately illuminate the parts of the face you want to enhance.
Step 4. Make a tinted moisturizer
Mix 3-4 drops of oil with a few drops of foundation. Apply it with a sponge or directly with your fingers to even out the complexion and moisturize the skin.
Step 5. Discipline your brows by applying baby oil to a comb
Swipe it over your brows and apply some eyeshadow to darken them.
Step 6. Wash the brushes
Pour a few drops of oil on the palm of your hand and pass a brush to impregnate it with the product. Rinse the bristles with warm water and lay it horizontally to dry.
Part 2 of 4: Hair
Step 1. Use a few drops of baby oil to tame unruly hair
Pour a few drops on your palms, then apply it to the roots and frizzy locks. Always keep a vial in your bag to do touch-ups on the go.
If you're worried about using too much oil, pour it over a small piece of tissue paper, then rub it from the roots to the ends of your hair
Step 2. Apply a few drops to dry hair before straightening:
will fight frizz. Avoid it instead if you plan to curl them, as you risk weighing them down.
Step 3. Regulate split ends
Apply the oil to a makeup sponge or handkerchief, then brush the lengths before styling your hair.
Part 3 of 4: Skin Care
Step 1. Use the oil after taking a bath
This is in fact the main purpose of the product: it helps to keep the skin soft and hydrated. For best results, massage it on your body before going to sleep.
Step 2. Use baby oil instead of cuticle oil to moisturize cuticles and prevent skin formation
Apply a few drops to the nail bed and massage it gently. Repeat this every day before going to sleep.
Step 3. If you are wearing a top or skirt, apply it to your legs or arms before going out
You will brighten the skin and draw attention to the parts of the body you prefer.
Step 4. Make a lip scrub
Mix a teaspoon of baby oil, half a teaspoon of sugar, and a few drops of lemon juice. Pick up the exfoliant with your index finger and apply it to your lips in a circular motion.
- Massage the entire surface of the lips well and rinse with warm water.
- You can also prepare a larger amount for your bikini line or legs.
Step 5. Use baby oil instead of hair removal gel or foam
Apply it all over your legs, wash your hands and shave as usual.
Step 6. Before removing a patch, soak it with baby oil
Rub it gently on the patch with a cotton pad to help remove the adhesive. You can also use this method to remove paint residue or temporary tattoos.
Step 7. Pour a few drops of baby oil into the bath to moisturize the skin
The ideal is to do this before going to bed.
Step 8. After waxing, soak a cotton ball and apply it to the skin:
will help reduce irritation. Repeat several times a day, until the redness is gone.
Step 9. Soften your feet by applying baby oil on them and putting on a pair of socks before going to bed
Prepare a foot bath with warm water and Epsom salts. Leave them to soak for 5 minutes to hydrate them even more.
Part 4 of 4: Accessories
Step 1. Apply a few drops of oil to a lint-free cloth and use it to polish accessories or leather shoes
Make sure you create an even patina. Let it sit for a few minutes, then polish with a dry cloth.
Step 2. If you have a tangled necklace, pour a drop of oil on the chain to help you untangle it more easily
The oil will allow you to loosen the knots by loosening them slightly.
