Steps
Step 1. Remove the egg white and yolk with a specific blower
Step 2. Wash the outside thoroughly to kill any microbes on the surface
Let the shell dry perfectly.
Step 3. Trace the decoration with a very light pencil
Consider leaving elements joined together as you would with a stencil, otherwise the whole design "detaches" from the rest of the shell when you carve it.
Step 4. Carve out the decoration using a very small power tool with a very fine tip
Diamond-coated and very long tips are the most suitable.
Step 5. Pierce the shell and start removing parts of the decoration while holding the egg firmly but gently with your non-dominant hand
Go slowly and be prepared for some unexpected breakup. Have another egg that has already been emptied on hand.

- There are products to apply inside the egg to make it more robust.
- Wear vinyl gloves when handling the egg.
- Wear a filter mask because eggshell dust can contain salmonella.
