Steps

Method 1 of 4: Draw a 5 Pointed Star

Step 1. Draw an inverted "V"

Start from a point in the lower left, go up and then go down with the pencil on the right. Don't lift the pencil off the paper until you're done.

Step 2. Draw a straight up line diagonally to the left

You need to cross the first line about 1/3 of the way up, without lifting the pencil off the paper.

Step 3. Draw a straight line horizontally through the design and ending on the right

Cross the inverted "V" about 1/3 of the way up. Again, don't lift the pencil off the paper.

Step 4. Draw a straight line down diagonally, returning to the starting point

The line will connect at the bottom left point of the design.

Step 5. Lift the pencil off the paper

Your star is over.

Step 6. If you don't want the lines inside the star to show, carefully erase them

Method 2 of 4: Draw a 6 Pointed Star

Step 1. Start by helping yourself with a compass to draw a large circle

Place the pencil in the space provided in the compass. Now, aim for the center of the paper.
Keeping the point steady, turn the compass. The pencil will draw a perfect circle.

Step 2. With the pencil, make a dot at the top of the circle

Now, move the tip of the compass to that dot. Do not change the opening of the compass.

Step 3. With a compass make a mark on the left that crosses the circumference

Repeat on the right.

Step 4. Without changing the aperture, point the compass at one of the new points

Make another mark on the circumference.

Step 5. Continue pointing the compass at the new points and drawing other intersection lines until you have 6 equidistant marks

Put the compass away.

Step 6. With a ruler draw a triangle starting from the top mark on the circumference

With the pencil, start from the mark at the top. Skip the first sign you come across on the left and connect it with the second one instead.
Draw a horizontal line to the right, skipping the bottom mark.
Finish by connecting that sign with the one above. This will complete the triangle.

Step 7. Draw a second triangle starting from the bottom mark on the circle

With the pencil, start from the bottom mark. Connect it to the second mark on the left with a straight line.
Draw a horizontal line to the right, skipping the top mark.
End the second triangle with another line that reconnects to the bottom mark.

Step 8. Delete the circle

Your 6-pointed star is finished.

Method 3 of 4: Draw a 7 Pointed Star (Method 1)

Step 1. Repeat the first two steps of the 5-pointed star method

The 7-pointed star is similar to the 5-pointed star.

Step 2. Instead of making a horizontal stroke to the right, go a little lower

Keep the space for another tip.

Step 3. Make a horizontal stroke to the left

Step 4. Make a stretch to the gap left in step 2

Step 5. Conclude the star by reconnecting to the starting point

Step 6. Finished

Method 4 of 4: Draw a 7 Pointed Star (Method 2)

Step 1. Draw an incomplete triangle

Leave a space between the start and end points, as shown in the figure.

Step 2. Draw a line from the end point to a point roughly halfway between the first two

Draw a line that goes halfway between the second and third points, then between the third and fourth.
