Have you ever thought about designing your own guitar? Follow these simple steps and learn how to design the perfect guitar. Note: Follow the red lines for each step.
Steps
Step 1. Start drawing a horizontal egg shape for the body of your guitar as if a potato is eating your hand
Step 2. Draw a long rectangle at the end of the egg shape for the keyboard
Step 3. At the beginning of the rectangle, inside the egg shape, draw a circle
Step 4. Draw a small rectangle at the end of the keyboard
Step 5. Now add thickness to the body
This thickness is determined by the shape you want to give the guitar. This guide will use the classic form.
Step 6. Add details such as strings, frets and mechanical keys
Step 7. Go over the drawing in ink and erase the pencil sketch
Step 8. Color the drawing and you're done
Method 1 of 1: Alternative Method
Step 1. Draw two ovals
The one on the left should be wider than the one on the right, like a lopsided snowman.
Step 2. Add two rectangles and a line to connect all shapes
The top rectangle will serve for the guitar neck, and the line as the start of a string.
Step 3. Connect the two ovals by adding two lines
Add small rectangles to give the guitar a more square and realistic shape.
Step 4. Draw a small circle inside the smaller upper oval
Add semicircles to the sides and go over the contours to make your guitar appear more realistic.
Step 5. Draw two wavy lines to indicate the shape of the guitar
(At this point your drawing should start to resemble a real musical instrument; if it doesn't, start over and make sure you haven't distorted anything.) Erase the excess lines as shown.
Step 6. Draw six lines for the guitar strings
Draw other details such as mechanical keys and keys on the keyboard.
Step 7. Review the outline and color
Use shades of brown, unless your guitar is particularly colorful. Experiment with different shades and shapes to find out what works best.
Advice
- Don't be afraid to experiment with the shape of the soundbox and the final part of the fingerboard.
- Remove the black from many of the parts, such as the strings and frets so they don't hide too much.
