Painting a concrete floor is a great way to improve the aesthetics and efficiency of a room. Since concrete has special characteristics, it therefore needs special attention. To get the best results it will take at least 2 weeks of work.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Thoroughly clean the concrete
The concrete must be completely clean to allow the insulation and paint to adhere well. Use two products to clean it, one to remove dirt and debris and the other to remove the white dust that sometimes forms on damp concrete.
Step 1. Sweep up any dirt, debris, old paint residue, etc
Step 2. Use a brush and concrete cleaner to scrub the floor after cleaning it
Method 2 of 4: Apply the insulation to the concrete floor
The insulation will reduce the humidity that damages the paint.
Apply 2 or 3 coats of insulation to the floor. Allow the insulator to act by waiting a few days between one coat and the next, use it and dilute it according to the manufacturer's information.
Step 1. After each pass, use a roller to make the insulation even across the floor, overlapping each pass slightly
Step 2. Use a paintbrush to apply insulation to the edges and corners of the room
Method 3 of 4: Apply a Concrete Primer to the Floor
The primer will make the aesthetics more uniform by filling in the gaps and gaps.
Step 1. Pour the primer into a paint container and dip the roller into it
Step 2. Pass it on the floor evenly
Step 3. Use a paintbrush to apply the primer to the corners and edges of the room
Method 4 of 4: Paint the Concrete Floor
This is the last step in the procedure.
