Method 1 of 2: Building a Chinese Kite
Step 1. Choose the shape
The shape of Chinese kites varies from simple fighting kites, small and fast, to more complex ones such as dragons, goldfish and swallows. For the first kite, it would be better to choose a rather simple shape, and then do the more complex ones after a lot of practice.
Step 2. Select the frame materials to make your kite
The structure consists of a rigid frame that maintains the shape of the kite and the lightweight material suitable for flight. The most used materials are bamboo, wooden dowels and fiberglass bundles.
