EFT is a powerful, drug-free and simple to learn and apply technique that can be used to reduce stress or painful emotions associated with past thoughts, experiences, etc.

In accordance with traditional Chinese medicine, our body includes multiple points that are gently tapped with the fingertips of one hand, while repeating some relevant phrases.

The theory behind this technique involves the body's energy field, or "meridians" as they were called by the ancient Chinese. Whether you believe in energy fields or not, you should be curious enough to try this technique at the next appearance of a negative emotion, you will be surprised at the results.

Step 1. Define the negative emotions (or arguments) that are causing your problems, then identify their intensity by assigning them a score between 0 and 10

0 means "nonexistent" and 10 very serious.

Step 2. Assemble your setup phrase, it needs to be specific

For example, "Even though when a stranger looks at me I feel tense and angry, I love, forgive and accept myself totally and completely. Or," Even if when someone makes fun of me I go on a rampage, I love, I forgive and accept myself totally and completely. ". Or again," Even though the fact that (person's name) dumped me makes me feel sad and devastated, I love, forgive and accept myself totally and completely. "Including the concept?

Step 4. Assemble your reminder phrase

You will need to say it aloud as you tap the other meridian points. The reminder phrase will be a short summary of the setup phrase, for example "strangers look at me", "I hate being watched". Or, "(person's name) dumped me", "pushed aside!", "I feel broken", etc.

Step 5. Tap all of the points listed below while repeating your reminder phrase:

  • Beginning of the eyebrow, just above the inner corner of the eye, on the bone.
  • Outside of the eye: bony part at the side of the eye.
  • Under the eye: under the central part of the eye, as before, on the bone.
  • Under the nose, between the nose and upper lip.
  • On the chin, exactly in the middle, in the recessed area.
  • On the chest. Locate the "U" shaped bone under the throat, drop down 5cm and then move another 5cm to the right or left.
  • Under the arm: where your bra is located or 7-8cm below the crease of the armpit.
  • At this point, some people also like to tap the wrist meridians: by turning the inside of them towards each other, tap them lightly together.
  • Upper part of the skull: in the center.

Advice

  • Be persistent! If the problem doesn't go away, keep tapping until it does. If it still doesn't give in, make an appointment with an EFT expert (do a Google search to find professionals in your area). You may have limiting beliefs that you are not aware of and that are preventing you from healing. A professional will help you locate them and tap them off, usually during a single session.
  • Before, after and during the EFT session, drink plenty of water, emotional and energetic cleansing can cause dehydration. In addition, drinking water will promote your energy flow, increasing the effectiveness of the session.
  • The EFT technique is quite tolerant and you will notice that on the web there are different sequences contained in articles and videos. This does not affect the effectiveness of EFT, so don't feel confused. Find and practice the sequence that works best for you.
  • Be as specific as possible about the problem. For example, don't just say "I'm depressed." A more specific phrase might be "I feel depressed about my job / couple life / finances, etc.

Warnings

  • EFT is not intended as a substitute for the medical profession.
  • You cannot harm yourself by using EFT.
