There are people who cannot digest lactose and people who find the combination of milk and eggs strange. If you want to make tasty dairy-free scrambled eggs, follow this delicious recipe, to which you can add vegetables. The result? A tasty, filling and quick meal.
The doses of this recipe are enough for one person.
Ingrediants
- 1-2 large eggs
- Other ingredients of your choice (vegetables, cheese, etc.)
- Spices or herbs (paprika, thyme, etc.)
Steps
Step 1. Get a bowl and mixing utensil
You need a large enough bowl for the eggs and a utensil to beat them, such as a whisk or fork.
Step 2. Break the eggs
Break them carefully by banging them on the rim of the bowl or on the work surface if the bowl is not solid enough (but try not to dirty!). Divide the two parts of the shell, making sure no residue ends up in the bowl.
If you get shell residues in the bowl, remove them with a spatula or spoon
Step 3. Beat the eggs with a fork or whisk, making sure to mix the yolks and whites well
Try not to do it too vigorously, or you risk making the eggs splash.
Step 4. If you have decided to use them, add herbs or spices at this stage of preparation
Sprinkle the flakes on the eggs, then beat them once again carefully to mix the mixture well.
If the herbs or spices are not in the form of flakes, add them only after the eggs are cooked
Step 5. Heat a skillet over medium heat
Grease it with butter to make sure the eggs don't stick to the surface. Use minimal amounts of butter, otherwise the eggs will be submerged! Pour the mixture into the pan once it starts to sizzle slightly.
Do not grease the pan with oil: it will alter the flavor of the eggs. If you don't want to get too much fat, try using a leaner substitute, like margarine
Step 6. Pour the eggs into the pan
Don't worry about covering the entire surface.
Step 7. Pour in the eggs, add other ingredients of your choice, such as larger herbs, vegetables, cheese and any other food you want
Try not to overcook them while you cook the eggs.
Step 8. To get scrambled eggs, use a spatula
Use it to move the eggs and break the coagulation of the mixture, making sure it cooks well. This procedure allows you to separate the preparation into small pieces, making cooking easier. Once the eggs are cooked on the surface, flip them to make sure they cook well on the other side as well.
The expression "well done" can have several definitions. Some people prefer slightly liquid scrambled eggs, while others prefer more compact. In any case, it is important to avoid that they are excessively liquid, because cooking them little is dangerous for health
Step 9. Remove the eggs from the pan
Cooked well, remove them with a spatula and place them on a plate. If you used other ingredients during preparation, add more to the surface. If you want, you can also sprinkle them with aromatic herbs, accompany them with vegetables, serve them alone or with other foods, such as bacon, toast or bagels.
