Soy milk is a great alternative to cow's milk if you are on a vegan diet, are lactose intolerant or simply prefer a different type of milk. It can be flavored with different types of ingredients, such as chocolate, blueberries and cinnamon. You can also experiment with different combinations, such as peanut butter and banana, to find out which one you prefer. Keep the flavored soy milk in the fridge, so you always have a delicious drink at your disposal!
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Mix Soy Milk with Cocoa Powder
Step 1. Heat 60ml of soy milk in the microwave for 15 seconds
Heat the soy milk in a microwave-safe container. By the time you take it out of the oven, the milk should be hot.
To make more than one drink, heat larger quantities of milk and increase the amount of cocoa powder accordingly
Step 2. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of cocoa powder to soy milk
Any type of cocoa you can find at the supermarket will do. Mix it with the milk using a spoon until there is no lump left.
Step 3. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of granulated sugar
If you're looking for a healthier alternative, use a few drops of honey instead.
Step 4. Pour the chocolate soy milk into a glass
Add 180ml of unflavored cold soy milk and mix everything together. Put a straw in the glass and the drink will be ready to be enjoyed.
Method 2 of 4: Add some fruit
Step 1. Pour 1 cup (240ml) of soy milk into the jug of a blender
Use cold soy milk if you plan to drink it right away. Add more in case you want to make more than one drink.
If you intend to make more than one drink, adjust the doses accordingly. For example, if you use 3 cups (720ml) of milk instead of 1 (240ml), triple the quantities of jam
Step 2. Pour 2 tablespoons of jam into the jug
You can use any jam you like, such as blueberry, raspberry or mango jam. Choose 2 different jams (using a spoonful of each preserve) to get a more fruity taste.
You can also blend soy milk with 40g of frozen fruit instead of jam
Step 3. Blend the soy milk and jam until smooth
Turn on the blender to mix milk and fruit. If possible, use the specific functionality for baby food and purees. At the end of the procedure, the milk may have a frothy appearance.
Step 4. Pour the soy milk into a glass and serve it
Accompany it with biscuits and soak them in milk to make it even more delicious.
Store leftover milk in the fridge using a plastic or glass bottle. Mark the expiration date of the soy milk on a piece of duct tape and attach it to the bottle, so you don't forget
Method 3 of 4: Blend Soy Milk with Spices
Step 1. Pour 1 cup (240ml) of soy milk into the jug of a blender
If you plan to drink it immediately after blending it, use cold soy milk. Use more milk and spices if you plan on making more.
Step 2. Add half a teaspoon of a spice or herb of your choice
Try cinnamon, lavender, or a pumpkin pie spice blend. You can also combine several for a richer and more complex taste.
Step 3. Add 1 tablespoon of honey to sweeten the soy milk
Avoid using it if you prefer unsweetened soy milk with a more intense spicy taste. If you don't like the taste of honey, add 1 tablespoon of sugar instead.
Step 4. Blend the soy milk and spices
Use the specific function for baby food and purees, if the blender has one. Blend the ingredients until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Step 5. Serve the spiced soy milk in a glass
Garnish with a cinnamon stick and serve.
If there is any leftover, pour it into a plastic or glass bottle and store it in the fridge. Take a piece of duct tape and write the expiration date on the original soy milk package. Attach it to the bottle so you know when it will go bad
Method 4 of 4: Experiment with Different Flavors
Step 1. Make peanut butter and banana soy milk
Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of soy milk, 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and a quarter of a frozen banana into the jug of a blender. Blend the ingredients until you get a smooth, homogeneous mixture.
Step 2. Try vanilla and cinnamon flavored soy milk
Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of soy milk into a jar. Add half a teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and a pinch of ground cinnamon. Garnish with 2 teaspoons of honey. Put the lid on the jar and shake it until all ingredients are mixed well.
Step 3. Flavor the soy milk with matcha green tea and honey and lavender syrup
Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of cold soy milk into a glass. Add 2 tablespoons of honey and lavender syrup and 1 teaspoon of matcha green tea powder. Mix the ingredients until you get a homogeneous mixture.
