Chamomile promotes sleep and promotes relaxation. You can dry fresh chamomile flowers, perhaps grown by yourself, and prepare your own herbal teas. If, on the other hand, you prefer to buy ready-made ones, you can find them in bulk or in sachets at the supermarket, online or in herbal medicine. It only takes a few minutes to prepare an infusion.

- 1 cup of water (250 ml)

Part 1 of 2: Prepare the Chamomile
Step 1. Place the flowers or chamomile tea bag in the teapot or directly in the cup
If you prefer to use loose flowers instead of the sachet, add a spoonful to each cup.
Step 2. Heat the water
You can use a kettle or a regular saucepan and wait for the water to boil.
Be careful not to let it boil for too long. Remove the water from the heat source as soon as the first bubbles begin to form
Step 3. Remove the hot water from the cup (if you poured it previously) and add the hot water
Step 4. Let the chamomile infuse for five minutes
If the flowers are loose, it is best to place them in a tea infuser, then dip them in boiling water. Wait five minutes, then remove the sachet or infuser from the water. Now you can relax while sipping your chamomile tea.
If you want, you can flavor it by adding lemon juice, sugar or a little honey. You can still drink it plain, without adding anything else
Part 2 of 2: Giving Chamomile More Taste
Step 1. Try sweetening it with honey
If you love sweet-tasting drinks, try adding a teaspoon of honey. Thanks to its antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal properties, your cup of chamomile tea will give you an even greater feeling of well-being.
Remember that honey is very sweet, so a little bit is enough. A teaspoon is enough in a teacup
Step 2. Add some milk
If you don't want it to be too sweet, you can try adding some milk. In addition to having an even better taste, it will also acquire a slightly thicker and creamier texture, without sweetening it too much. Of course it is best not to use milk if you are lactose intolerant.
For some people, milk promotes sleep. Although not scientifically proven, if milk makes you sleepy, it could have the same effect when mixed with chamomile
Step 3. Use an artificial sweetener
Sugar adds a large number of unnecessary calories to hot drinks. If you want to make chamomile tea sweeter, but don't want to take on all the extra calories in sugar, try using an artificial sweetener. You can find different varieties in every supermarket, for example those that contain stevia: a plant with an enormous sweetening power that provides zero calories.
Step 4. Try using fruit, fresh or in juice form
You can use it to give more flavor and sweetness to chamomile in a healthy and natural way. For example, try adding a few slices of apple or a few blueberries. You can also use fruit juice to sweeten the chamomile tea.
