Step 1. Remove the leathery stalk with the knife

Eat peas differ from shelling peas because their pods are tender, sweet, and can be eaten. The seeds inside are still very small.
Step 3. Eat raw peas in salads
You can combine them with many other raw vegetables to create a healthy and tasty dish; will bring crunchiness and numerous nutrients. Slice the pods diagonally to give them the size of the other salad ingredients. Of course, if you prefer, you can eat them whole.
Step 4. Pair them with your favorite sauces
You can dip the pods in hummus, guacamole etc. Eat peas are a far healthier alternative to the regular potato chips or bread that normally go with sauces.
Method 2 of 4: Sauté the Pan-Fried Peas
Step 1. Heat a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat
Choose a pan large enough to comfortably hold all the peas, including the pods.
Step 2. Pour the green peas into the pan
Transfer them to the hot oil using a spoon with a long handle to avoid the risk of burning yourself, then mix them to season them evenly.
Step 3. Add one and a half teaspoons of sea salt and three quarters of a teaspoon of pepper
Stir with the spoon to distribute the spices and season the peas evenly.
Step 4. Saute the peas in the pan for 3-5 minutes
Turn them frequently with the spoon so they cook evenly. Cook them until they are equally tender and crunchy.

Transfer them to a bowl, taste them and add more sea salt if needed. Put a serving spoon in the bowl and serve them immediately on the table.
Method 3 of 4: Blanch the Eat Peas

Place the pot on the stove and heat the water over high heat. Make sure the pot is large enough to easily hold any peas you intend to blanch.
Step 2. Fill a bowl with cold water and ice
You will need to use at least twenty ice cubes or more, depending on the amount of peas. Once the ice is added, submerge it with water to almost completely fill the bowl, then keep it next to the stove.
You can save time by doing this step while you wait for the water to boil
Step 3. Salt the water and add the peas
Pour a teaspoon of salt into the boiling water. Blanching the mangiatutto peas serves to make them even softer and to preserve their taste and color. Leave the pot uncovered while the peas cook.
Step 4. Blanch the peas for 5 minutes
Don't take them out of the pot ahead of time. After 5 minutes, the mangiatutto peas should have achieved a perfect balance between softness and crunchiness.
Step 5. Drain the peas and transfer them to the bowl filled with water and ice
Drain them using a slotted spoon so as not to transfer even the boiling water into the frozen one. When you are sure you have drained all of them, you can turn off the stove.
Step 6. Drain the peas again
They must remain in the frozen water for only a few seconds, then they must be drained and transferred to a dry kitchen towel. Gently blot them with a second clean cloth to dry them. Try to absorb as much water as possible.
Step 7. Use blanched peas now or save them for later use
You can combine them with other vegetables and eat them in salads or season them in a pan. By blanching them you will have made them very tender and suitable for any recipe. If you don't want to use them right away, transfer them to a food bag and store them in the refrigerator or freezer.
